Unlock Kamen Riders in Douluo's Way Ch 83

On what was once a calm coast, a colossal cloud rift tore open the sky. Looking through the rent, it was as if a tunnel into nothingness had materialized from thin air.

With tremendous force, two figures, too swift for the naked eye to track, burst from the cloud portal. The moment they appeared, the very planet of Douluo trembled.

Every living thing on the world felt their presence, and even the most powerful beings shuddered in terror. Lesser creatures fainted outright, and many near the point of impact died instantly, overwhelmed by the oppressive aura.

These two figures, unleashing chaos in their wake, traversed the planet at incomprehensible speed. In a mere minute, they circled the globe three times, leaving a trail of destruction that defied belief.

Landslides and fissures scarred the landscape, violent winds and tsunamis ravaged the seas. It was no exaggeration to say that their passage left a trail of devastation in its wake.

The most powerful beings on the planet could barely discern their forms. They appeared to be a feline creature wreathed in black and gold, and a birdlike being of white and gold.

The avian figure relentlessly pursued the feline one, unleashing devastating attacks. Yet, the pursued creature either evaded or blocked, never striking back.

Finally, as the two figures collided once more, their speed diminished. Their true forms began to resolve, revealing themselves as breathtakingly beautiful women. They hovered at the edge of the beach where they had first appeared. Of course, the place was utterly transformed, a testament to their overwhelming power.

"I won't hurt you," the black-haired beauty said, her voice soft. "Please, just let me go."

"Silence!" the blonde beauty retorted, pointing. "Such disruption of time and space cannot be tolerated, even by the God of Time and Space. Your very existence is an anomaly. There cannot be two gods of speed. Why do you possess the godhead of the God of Speed, and… why is it older than mine? Are you an ancient god abusing the power to traverse time? I cannot allow it. It is the duty of the God of Speed to protect time and space from corruption, and your insistence on self-destruction is the gravest offense. You must return to the God Realm and face judgment!"

"An old god…" The black-haired beauty's expression deepened with sorrow. "Perhaps, but it means little to me now. I did not expect to find you as the God of Speed in this new world, Chenxiang."

The blonde beauty, Bai Chenxiang, paled. "Impossible! How do you know my mortal name?"

"I know your mortal name, and I know your full name, Bai Chenxiang," the black-haired beauty said, a touch of bitterness in her voice as she gazed at Bai Chenxiang's face. "If, in the original world, you had obtained the godhead, the fatty would not have regretted it for the rest of his life… No, perhaps this is the punishment. After all, he failed to win you…"

Bai Chenxiang bristled at her words. She didn't understand what the other woman was saying, yet it filled her with irritation.

"Enough! Stop speaking nonsense. Who are you?"

The black-haired beauty closed her eyes, then opened them, her gaze now a mix of sadness and resolve. "Chenxiang, I did not disrupt time and space. Time and space itself is trying to prevent something… my companions have already…"

Tears streamed down her face, stirring a sense of unease within Bai Chenxiang, whose thoughts echoed her counterpart's through the shared godhead.

"Now, all hope rests with me. The God of Speed is the only one besides the God of Time and Space with the ability to traverse time and space. I must fix this, no matter the cost. This new world is not right. Forgive me, Chen Xiang."

With a surge of divine power, the cloud tunnel reappeared, and Bai Chenxiang realized her intentions.

"Stop!" Bai Chenxiang shouted, too slow to prevent her from rushing toward the sea. Sensing the growing power emanating from her, she exclaimed, "You intend to use the God of Speed to open a time-space tunnel again? No!"

Despite her desperate plea, she was too late. The figure vanished into the cloud tunnel.

Bai Chenxiang clenched her teeth, hesitation gnawing at her as she watched her disappear. Because of that hesitation, she failed to give chase, and the cloud tunnel winked out of existence.

Wiping away tears, the black-haired beauty muttered, "Third Brother, Xiao Wu… do not worry. I will set everything right."

After the cloud tunnel vanished, Bai Chenxiang, consumed by remorse and fury, unleashed her own power and raced in the opposite direction. Another cloud tunnel appeared, and she too disappeared.

As that tunnel faded, the planet was once more calm, and its creatures breathed a collective sigh of relief. The top-level beings dared not dwell on what they had witnessed, treating it as a mere dream.

Yet, between the two vanishing points, a massive chasm, over 3,000 kilometers long and ten kilometers wide, stood as a testament to the power of the two speed gods.

Oceans, forced apart by the divine power, towered on either side. Even after the goddesses had vanished, the waters remained displaced, forming tsunami-like walls that loomed over the exposed seabed.

Over time, other scars healed, but this chasm remained fixed, a permanent spectacle whose origins were lost to legend.

Then, decades later, a massive, skeletal chariot rumbled into this place, now known as the Baimu Trench.

After driving some kilometers into the Trench, the chariot shuddered to a halt. Its cargo doors swung open, and almost all of its passengers tumbled out, their faces pale and their stomachs churning.

"Ugh… I can't… The smell of sausage… it's disgusting! I knew I shouldn't have eaten so much!"

"Fatty, are you blaming me? It's your fault… you wanted to eat more!"

"Don't even mention it… I still have carrots… Ugh!"

Yin Xiaoya scratched his head, a wry smile on his face. "It was a smooth ride, but you're all defeated by motion sickness. I don't understand. You were fine in the bumpy carriage, but not in my skeleton chariot? You're too delicate. You'll be fine in a bit. Anyway, we're here. Let's go on foot."

Sensing the angry glares directed his way, Yin Xiaoya shut his mouth.

Although Su Xuan hadn't vomited as much as the others, she still retched, rubbing her temples to ease the dizziness. Looking at Mantis, who looked unfazed, and the still-sleeping Mantis Immortal in her arms, she offered a wry smile.

"Even after becoming human, Immortal is special," she murmured.

"After all, they're not ordinary humans, but human-undead beasts. There's a difference." Yin Xiaoya offered a bottle of water. "Drink some. It'll help."

"Thank you…" As if to hide her disheveled state, Su Xuan turned away and took a few sips. Feeling better, she said, "After we rest, I'll go with the teachers to find the soul beast. You…"

"Don't worry. I'll help."

Yin Xiaoya's prompt reply surprised her. She had been hesitant to bring it up, knowing his views on soul masters hunting soul beasts for power.

Seeing her doubt, Yin Xiaoya smiled. "I know what you're thinking. Don't misunderstand. I've never disagreed with the soul master's approach. It's the world's survival rule, neither right nor wrong. As someone who is not a soul master, I am not qualified to hunt soul beasts. That's why I offered to help. You all want the soul ring of a soul beast. I can let them continue to exist in another way, which isn't a bad choice for both, is it?"

Su Xuan blinked, a smile gracing her face. "Well, thank you."

"Thank you? We're friends. All right, when everyone's feeling better, we'll… hmm?"

Yin Xiaoya froze.

"What's wrong?" Su Xuan asked.

After a moment, he said with a wry smile, "It seems we have to wait. We have guests coming."
