The great move

Remember that trip I did last year to Tale's house? Well, we got along so darn well that he offered me to live with him. He will charge me no rent in exchange for helping him with chores around the house and cook nutritious meals every once in a while. We realized that we can help each other much better this way.

His health improved when I left but even though his refinancing of the house was a success, his health took a dark turn again while I was gone. His ear infection is acting up again and is getting close to his brain. He has to use very aggressive antibiotics to fight the infection, but this has destroyed his immune system, making him prone to disease and fatigue. He needs lots of rest and treatment, but also needs to work to maintain the house we struggled so hard for him to keep. He also has to take care of his 5 pets by himself. (His ex-wife refused to take any of them with her)

So, I am planning on moving with him to help him get better and this time I will make sure he can actually heal properly.

This arrangement is also beneficial to me (And you, I will get to that). If I don’t have to pay rent, I can use more time for Linda’s Tale and less on YCH’s for income. Also, living in a place with an actual working space (An office of sorts) is a great environment for people that get distracted easily. I would greatly improve my animation speed if I had a more productive working environment.

This month I haven’t done a whole ton of Linda’s Tale because I need to prepare for the trip. This trip is going to be very long and I need money to drive my car from “coast to coast” in the US. It will be a 4-5 day trip and I need money for fuel, food and hotels. I plan on departing on April 1st and arriving sometime around April 5th. By April 15th, I should be free from other responsibilities and will be able to get back to what I actually want to do: Linda’s Tale.

I set up a Ko-fi precisely because of the trip, (ko-fi.com/joethevenezuelan). I hate begging for money, but the situation is getting delicate. You don’t have to give me anything, I just want you to understand why I am doing all of this now. I can afford all my bills with the work I do normally, the problem is the extra expense of the trip.

I have also decided to practice more sketching to do more of the work myself. Relying on favors from friends has become too unreliable and slow. I can’t afford to hire them so I will do it myself. I have been practicing and getting some coaching from SweetChocolate, Kinky and even Tales.

I was thinking of putting together a bit of an “update video” to show on you tube so people see we have been working on it.
