An update on my shoulder: It's now been diagnosed as a 'frozen shoulder'. It's a condition that will take a year to heal; during which doing art (or anything else) will be a balancing act. Until then I've more or less figured out a working solution, which lets me get in 5 or 6 hours a day reliably.
