Totally agree. And the look on Angel's face as Dru bites Darla is a pretty amazing portrayal of devastation.

2018-07-14 08:03:46 +0000 UTCThis show has so many great twists and turns and so many fantastic "WTF I'M SHOOK!" moments that I honestly don't think this one gets talked about enough. But that moment, when Drusilla walks in the door. That has always stuck out to me as one of the most effective and shocking sucker punches of the show. In the broader scope of the series I understand why it might end up forgotten, but it's one of my favorites and I personally have been waiting for your reaction to it <3 Did not disappoint!

2018-06-29 02:39:34 +0000 UTCThis is one of Angel's best episodes. It being Drusilla was just perfect. I can't think of a still "living" vampire that would have been a better choice for W&H. Not Angel because of his soul. Not Spike because of his chip and also he probably wouldn't have been a better choice regardless. Drusilla is the most poetic choice for sure. Angel said in Buffy season 2 that making Drusilla was the worst thing he ever did as a vampire. That makes her Angelus' greatest achievement and thus Angel's greatest shame. Perfect choice to resire Darla. William would have loved the poetry of it.
