However, that Timmy also never fell down a well. Lots of standup comics had a Timmy down the well routine, that seems to be where it started.

I couldn’t even find evidence it was a real plot point of this show. So since the tier was for the pilot, I went with that. This was my first time watching it too... also my last. I’m so sorry. Lol

2018-07-23 15:39:14 +0000 UTCI remember Passions being on the air and the Timmy doll being in the well. I didn't watch it myself but it was a big enough deal for daytime TV that word spread. It was on the magazine covers at the supermarket checkout and people were talking about it. So when Spike said "Timmy is down the well" it's something people were actually saying around that time so they could get home and watch in time. LOL 😂

2018-07-23 14:26:04 +0000 UTCI have such fond memories of this show! It was the first soap opera I ever watched, and I was super addicted. I especially loved Lindsay Hartley, who played Theresa. I joined the official fan club, went to fan club luncheons to meet the cast, etc. Yeah, the pilot is a bit cheesy, but it picks up quickly and has an impressive first few years, though the later years aren't as good (but are still cheesy fun). Justin Hartley got his start on this show (he joined a few years later as Fox Crane and was married to Lindsay Hartley for a few years), and he went on to play Green Arrow on Smallville.
