As for me, Dip, it's not a big deal. If I had had a vote on this, I might have voted for the 4 - 4 arrangement, but I'm not disappointed or anything. Either way it's going to be a great couple of weeks of reactions.

2018-08-05 22:44:28 +0000 UTCWelp, sorry lads. That IS the plan for next Season (Angel first, the Buffy) but this season we're doing the 19s/20s next week, and the finale blocks the week after. If ya ping me in the spoilers area on the Discord we can go into why.

2018-08-05 12:57:14 +0000 UTCBtVS is such a high quality show that you can watch it over and over and still be entertained. But the surprises, twists and reveals can only be experienced once - or so i thought. ASR makes it possible to enjoy those experiences anew. :D <3

2018-08-05 07:04:28 +0000 UTCWell, she's reached her $2500 goal and hopefully she actually got paid this time since she switched to pay-up-front so is it possible we'll get the double reaction this week? It would be pretty cool to get the final season episodes of both shows the same week. Regardless, I completely agree in doing the final 4 of Buffy and then doing the final 4 of Angel.

2018-08-05 01:58:52 +0000 UTCA famous and wildly popular American daytime game show. Been on the air for at least 60 years. Bob Barker was its most famous host, and by the time Spike mentioned to Glory the man was quite old. It was just so funny Spike would think that up as a diversionary “key” because it would be the kind of show he’d watch during the daytime, right before Passions.

2018-08-04 23:43:44 +0000 UTCI'm wondering if Shan knew what "The Price is Right", and Bob Barker, meant? I laughed my head off when Spike gave them that name. But if you don't know the show or the man it probably didn't come off as funny.

2018-08-04 16:13:00 +0000 UTCI totally agree with that schedule too: the last 4 Buffy followed by the last 4 Angel. Two batches of episodes that are... enjoyable and eventful. I'd love to describe them in more specific terms, but that would be... spoilery badness.

2018-08-04 06:25:02 +0000 UTCA personal favorite of mine. Both funny and genuine, and at this point in the series I think Spike had probably become my favorite character. That hasn't changed since. Also, I know some people mentioned it already under your Dead End reaction, but I just want to say that I agree with doing the last 4 of Buffy first followed by the last 4 of Angel. It makes a lot of sense in my opinion for a couple of reasons(that I of course can't say).

2018-08-04 05:41:39 +0000 UTCI love *love* the Buffy-bot but this creepy, obsessive stalker shit that makes up such a huge core component of Spike's character is the reason why I could never ship Spuffy though I can understand why people do. On a lighter note, SMG is so underrated as a comedic actress and this is the episode where she finally fully gets to show off those comedic chops which probably makes it my favorite episode of all of season 5. I'd forgotten how funny it was.

2018-08-04 04:38:29 +0000 UTC... "Spike! you're all covered in sexy wounds!"

2018-08-04 03:18:09 +0000 UTCThe name, of course, is Buffy-bot!! Multiple of my favorite moments in this one... "Guyles... I mean Giles, you watch.... it". "Anya! How's your money?" "Time to slay, vampires of the world beware!"

2018-08-04 03:14:18 +0000 UTCI really like this episode still, it gives me a lot of mix feelings. Spike actions at the beginning fell very wrong, but at the end, he makes a really selfless and heroic act, Buffy should be super pist with him but and the end she kisses him is really a rollercoaster. Also, ive always thought, there is some message in how Glory treats Spike at the beginning of the interrogation?. throwing him in to a bed, penetrate him with her finger, is there a meaning there? Is Joss trying to say something?

2018-08-04 01:34:54 +0000 UTCShannan, so glad you enjoyed my favourite episode of TV, also glad to read others love it a great deal too. I find that final scene gets more beautiful every time I watch it. It was a joy to see you get so engrossed when just after Buffybot walks out of the room Buffy enters. And to see your reaction when working out what was going on when Spike was smoking and Buffybot stood-up into frame. Also... WOW, you type fast. Fun-fact: this is the third mistaken identity comedy of errors episode along with 3-16 Doppelgangland and 5-3 The Replacement.

2018-08-04 00:54:33 +0000 UTCOne of my top ten episodes (except I have twenty or thirty of those :)

2018-08-03 23:44:27 +0000 UTCBuffybot! 'Angel's lame, his hair goes straight up and he's bloody stupid.'

2018-08-03 23:32:49 +0000 UTCI am so glad this episode cheered you up. This show is such a roller coaster of emotions.

2018-08-03 20:48:14 +0000 UTCDru may have been a crazy vampire, but remember, Angelus made her crazy as a human. Not as a vampire.

2018-08-03 20:44:02 +0000 UTCI like Spuffy (I don't like the sound of either Spuffy or Spiffy so I'll just use the more common one) for the comedy of it, but I don't think they are a good pairing for a real romance. Spike is a fantastic character and I do agree with Spuffy shippers about that, but being a fantastic character does not make you a good romantic match for someone. Maybe William would have been, but he's was dead long before Spike met Buffy.

2018-08-03 20:43:22 +0000 UTCOne of my top 5 episodes! I was so excited for this reaction and you didn’t let me down! Just a point, it’s entirely plausible that she can’t brain suck a Vampire. I’m pretty sure Drusilla always had visions but Angel drove her insane before he turned her into a vampire which is why she is how she is now, so that never happened while she was vampire.

2018-08-03 20:43:00 +0000 UTCASR: "He's a really big weirdo" Hey, weird love's better than no love!
MittenCrab
2018-08-03 20:38:00 +0000 UTCWell...from season 2 or 3, when Buffy got the ability to read minds, she couldn't read Angel's mind. So, vampire's are different somehow. I think that's sort of the reason why Glory could mind suck Spike. And, first kiss of Spiffy (or Spuffy if you are weird). At least first spiffy kiss that wasn't under the influence of magic. That's not to say there will/won't be others. Just that I love spike-buffy, and totally think they should get together. Not because they'd be good together, but because it would be hilarious.

2018-08-03 20:16:07 +0000 UTCOh, Spike. Indeed, he's done so many questionable things when you think about it. But it's SPIKE. And same here, Shan, I think tousled hair Spike is just... yeah. He has mini curls!
Chaotic Cam
2018-08-03 19:05:41 +0000 UTCFirst Buffy / Spike kiss was a sweet way to end the very funny robot Buffy subplot. Getting close to the end of the season.

2018-08-03 18:47:47 +0000 UTCI keep meaning to mention it, but I always forget ... Can we please all take a moment to appreciate Glory's minions weird little praises for her? "Oh great naughty feelings-giving one" and such? And they're gradually running out of new things to call her, so they're getting more and more lame!
Andrew Pulrang
2018-08-03 17:34:23 +0000 UTCI love how much you love Spike. I do as well even though he has really done some questionable things I can't help but to lo him as well.

2018-08-03 16:16:42 +0000 UTCi love this episode... as crazy and messed up the spike and buffybot situation was/ is lol... i still think its hilarious. poor blondie bear... he finally did something selfless, for the right reasons. looking forward to the next set of buffy episodes!! eeek!

2018-08-03 15:55:28 +0000 UTCOne of my favorites of the season. Shan, I wanted so badly to tell you to hold on till ‘Intervention’ because I knew you’d take the previous two eps tough. I’m like you, not big on the serious sad stuff. But regardless, you/we are past that and you got a great moment there at the end with Spike & Buffy.
Freddy Bowman
2018-08-03 15:31:38 +0000 UTCThis episode was a lot of fun. Buffybot was hilarious, like the programs and folders it had on Spike, omg lol. The last scene was just so great because Spike didn’t have to keep Dawn being the key a secret cuz just three episodes ago Buffy told him to stay out of her life and yet he was willing to die for her and Dawn, it was a beautiful moment for Spike who made an unselfish act when all season long he was trying to convince Buffy he had changed doing it for all the wrong reasons, here we get such a special moment between Buffy and Spike

2018-08-03 14:41:29 +0000 UTCProbably can’t brain suck him because he is dead, or undead or whatever

2018-08-03 14:38:04 +0000 UTCI'm always glad Buffy has lighter comedic episodes after things that are slightly heavy, it's a little gift of catching your breath. Though this episode is definitely one of my faves, and the kiss at the end, so sweet.
