This was one f my issues with season 2. Last season, Coulson goes through this story of realizing that keeping so many secrets is bad, but does the exact same thing. And worse yet, he does it to the team that stood by him. No one except May knew about the Toolbox and I thought that was wrong.

Looking back knowing who the "big bad" of the season is, it's amazing how many little clues are dropped that nobody picks up on.
