Didn't occur to me back in the day but Lilah leaning into to "Angel"'s advance makes sense from a WRH thinking that that it could trigger Angelus. Something they are keen to do for their apocalypse.

2022-10-12 03:28:45 +0000 UTCWhat we learn in this episode: Angel keeps Angelus' leather pants in his wardrobe. Hmm. Shan thinks like Buffy - βCarpe - the fish??β Poor Fred!

2018-09-15 23:52:18 +0000 UTCDavid is a great character actor. I love how easily he switches between Angel/Angelus and other characters when needed, like undercover or body swapped :D

2018-09-14 11:20:36 +0000 UTCI was just gonna say, my Latin isnt that great..but between carpe diem(seize the day) and Prima Noctem from Braveheart(First Night), I kinda put The pieces together. Itβs funny how often I pull off the illusion of being book smart thanks to things learned from movie and tv shows(after explaining an Edgar Allen Poe reference once, I had to admit that Iβd learned it from the Simpsons).

2018-09-14 03:56:25 +0000 UTCTo be fair to Buffy's friends, it was harder to figure out with that one. Faith knew a lot about Buffy, including who most of her friends were. Marcus knew nothing about Angel.

2018-09-14 00:48:21 +0000 UTCI thought for a second you were going to say that Clark kissed Lex! I ship it! ;)

2018-09-13 23:13:58 +0000 UTCI though with the fish comment you were very subtly referring to Buffyβs comment or β¦β¦.you and Buffy simply think alike β¦..or am I saying that you and Buffy are somehow connected????

2018-09-13 22:29:03 +0000 UTCIt always comes back to fish. I'm pretty sure Buffy tells Willow to βSeize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be deadβ in "Welcome to the Hellmouth". Then Willow tells Buffy in Surprise season 2: Willow: Carpe diem. You told me that once. Buffy: 'Fish of the day'? Willow: Not carp. (smiles) Carpe. It means 'seize the day.' Interestingly neither time does it turn out to be great advice in the episode. Also when I hear carpe diem I always thing of the movie βdead poets societyβ great movie[happy], then I think of Robin Williams[a little sad]β¦β¦then I think of Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellarβs short lived but fun sitcom, the crazy ones, [happy again]. Itβs like a whole emotional journey :)ο

2018-09-13 22:14:14 +0000 UTCAll aboard the Cangel train! ππ This is a fun little episode. It may not be a "big" one but I've always liked it. A candy episode!

2018-09-13 21:54:02 +0000 UTCFiller episode but a really good one imo. loved the character interactions and David's acting. I'm shipping Fred and Angel as well as Cordy and Angel. So weird...
2018-09-13 20:07:37 +0000 UTCA lot of things that happened in the buffyverse also happened in smallvillle a lot of the writers and producers worked on both. Clarks chracter development and buffys work on almost the exact same timeline for the 1st 3 seasons at least

2018-09-13 20:06:46 +0000 UTCDidn't take long for you to figure out it was going to be a body swap episode. Well done. :) Was this the first time you've seen Ron Howard's dad in something? I liked this reaction a lot.

2018-09-13 18:57:18 +0000 UTCI love how the old man is played, but David Boreanas and Rance Howard. I love that the old guy isnβt just creepy and pathetic in the present, you can tell heβs always been a jerk.

2018-09-13 17:53:41 +0000 UTCThis is my least favorite episode of the season.

2018-09-13 17:50:45 +0000 UTCFYI, the guy who plays Marcus in this episode is Rance Howard, father of Ron Howard and Clint Howard and Grandfather of Bryce Dallas-Howard

2018-09-13 17:47:19 +0000 UTCMy favorite coffee mug has a moon on it and says "carpe noctem" on it (I'm a night shift nurse so I stay up all night basically all the time ... not unlike a certain undead crime fighter)

2018-09-13 17:25:33 +0000 UTCThe traditional saying is carpe diem, which is what Willow said. It means seize the day. The ep title is a play on it. Noctem means night, so it would be seize the night.
