Willow doesn’t realize she basically mind raped Tara then. To Willow, she was just solving a problem, and she’s always been a problem solver. She didn’t want to be mad, and I’m sure she thinks Tara would not be mad either, so one word and the problems solved. The acting talent in this show NEVER got it’s just rewards.

It was a 70's show after all. “How about you, ever play shiver me timbers? “Not really much for the timber’ :D Willow with the tiny wee warty witch!! Adorable :) Spike: Great Pumpkin’s on in twenty.’ - the time when we had to get home so as not to miss a tv show!!! lol. If you hadn’t set the VCR that is - don’t think Spike has a VCR? Only ever noticed a tv. Anya’s dance of capitalist superiority. I love it. Which is very weird for me. lol. She’s like the only adorable capitalist ever. Willow’s spell on Tara at the end of this episode is so heartbreaking, … and disturbing, and creepy… :’( Not because of how much coulda been wiped - which is an issue - but because .. consent, and control, and autonomy. Aw Willow, ’Sob’ [wish I could do emojis on here!]

2018-09-21 00:57:58 +0000 UTCWhat willow made with Tara is horrible, but she has made this for a long time, using magic instead of facing her problems, she even tries to use magic on Xander without his consent in "Lovers walk". The problem is that now she is way more powerful and effective, so she can create real damage and she doesn´t realize it yet Still, this is very consistent with her character. Something I love about this show, this makes the characters feel so alive.
