2025-10-02 23:55:06 +0000 UTCAll trainees that participated in the show are bound by the contract, which essentially says MNET reserves the right to put them in a spinoff group or use them for something else. Only rule is that they have to inform and start negotiations with that trainee's original company within 14 days of the show ending. Hanwen alluded to being forced to participate in the Homerun spin off, so the contract is more than just forcing contestants into a group - they could use them for whatever as long as negotiations start (Hanwen is an individual trainee so he doesn't have a company to negotiate with, hence the likely promptness). We might hear of a second group soon, but it also might not be revealed until later (informing and negotiations don't have to be made public within that 14 day rule). Essentially, MNET can still decide right now on what they want to do, it's crazy. If MNET doesn't inform a company they have plans for their trainees, then they are "free" from MNET's whims and released from the contract. I bet a lot of trainees are anxiously waiting right now to see what happens.

2025-10-02 20:53:56 +0000 UTCApparently some trainees from Boys II Planet are bound by contract to CJ ENM so they can debut them in a spin off group if they want, but apparently they can't debut anywhere else until the contract ends. I wonder which trainees they are? And also, apparently ALD1 have a 5 year contract this we know, but they are required to release an album, and do at least 1 performance in their 6th year.
