2018-10-15 04:17:41 +0000 UTCWednesday or wodenesdag, Woden is the Germanic version of Odin. The eye stabbing bit at the beginning was hardcore Odin worship - 'cause Odin only has one eye. (MCU's Odin is better.) Odin lives in America and is pretty weak because he doesn't have many worshippers anymore. I'm guessing one was an African fertility goddess. Pretty weird.

2018-10-15 02:56:19 +0000 UTCThe show is supposed to be about a war between the Old Gods (Norse, Egyptian, Greek etc.) and the New Gods (Technology, media, surveillance etc.). The guy Shadow met at the end was one of the new gods, Techno Boy. Mr. Wednesday is one of the Old Gods. Sorry again, I forgot how confusing this show can be at a first glance lol.
