I think you have probably forgotten that Oliver did not learn how to use the bow in his flashbacks until episode 20 in the first season, and that he was good enough to kill Fyers with a headshot while he was holding Shado hostage just 3 episodes later. Archery is not a skill that one learns quickly. He also didn't learn how to fight until episode 14 when Slade started teaching him. If Oliver can learn that quickly, then Thea can. And I believe Thea had a better teacher. I'm willing to bet that if Malcolm and Slade had a fight on the show, Malcolm would have won, even with the miracuru in Slade's system. But also, Slade and Shado had to teach Oliver quickly to suit the purpose of overthrowing Fyers and getting off the island. Thea has had 6 months of virtual peace in which to learn whatever skills Malcolm saw fit to teach her.

I mean, to be fair, if someone’s girlfriend was the leader of an assassin army, I wouldn’t want to tell them their girlfriend was killed either. Especially without handing over the rightful person to blame.

I like how writers convenietly forgot that Laurel actually knows how to fight. Remember season 1 when she took down 2 bodyguards to save Oliver and Tommy in that nightclub? She said then that she had several self-defese classes that her dad made her take. I can understand Thea, pretty sure Malcolm was really brutal with training and they never said she's on his level. Oh, and it's Daddy Diggle :D

Well Malcolm trained her in the ways of The League and Oliver mostly learned by himself. Plus Malcolm was going easy I'm sure. Plus it's 6 months.

Agree with your argument about Thea. It's something that they just go with. 6 months of training and she ends up a master class fighter skilled with several weapons. It's complete bullshit. Of course I have problems with Roy being able to just use a bow at that level. It takes years and even then you're never going to be that perfect.
