I used to have the dvd, but I don't remember the reason. Guess I'll just have to watch and find out.

But he went to Hell dimension and lost his childhood, and she went to a plane or eternal boredom and lost her mind.

If she had been there all along while he was growing up and then this happened, it would have been like she was grooming him.

Maybe the Beast of past made it so Angelus couldn't remember so then Angel of course could not right?😞

I feel like the only one who doesn’t care about Connor and Cordelia. To me their relationship isn’t weird because Cordy didn’t see him grow up therefore he wouldn’t even remember her and even though she looked after him as a baby, this is a completely different person to her. She can probably separate the baby to the teenager because she didn’t see him grow up. Also, while sleeping with Angel’s son morally is not great, she doesn’t owe Angel anything. He is not her boyfriend and vise versa she can sleep with whoever she wants, both her and Connor are two consenting adults. But I will agree she had no right to get jealous of Gwen.

I agree with you 100%, Shan. This whole Cordie/Conner thing gives me the wiggens. Like seriously. It was almost incestuous. This was the ONE choice that Joss Wheadon made in a show that will not and cannot EVER reconcile. It irks me so BAD!!! #GROSS

Like Buffy early episodes of Angel weren't widescreen...hence the stretched images. I love how Tahiti was funny...twice!

This is a much better episode than the last one. I do like the storyline with Volcano Guy, he's a big threat and it's all very apocalyptic. It was just the last episode I though the plot and action was 'meh'. This one has a lot more intrigue, some good old sleuthy research, good action scene at the end there where they think they've won and sent Volcano Guy away. The sun going out is pretty epic, and I was shocked by it actually happening on first watch in the middle of the season. It's so weird though, how can Angel not remember something that Angelus experienced? It felt very confusing and WTF? Also, did they have to make Manjet such a sleazeball, ugh. Why couldn't they just stick with him being a guy who likes Hawaiian shirt's and Belize. I liked seeing Gwen again, and her helping out.

1) Great reaction, as always! Can't wait for next episodes. 2) 5:08 - I'm going to disagree with you there. It would have been worse, if Cordy was there with Connor as he was growing up and then she would chose to sleep with him. Right now, she may know that baby Connor and teen are same person, but emotionally, it's two different people for her. Her feelings for baby didn't fully transfer to teen, that's why subconscious instinct to avoid incest didn't fully kick in (since the instinct works not on blood bond, but on proximity while growing up).

Connor/Cordy is gross.
Just do what I do -- make retching, gagging, barfing noises when they're on the screen together. It helps.

I've always liked a lot of the stuff with The Beast. Anything with high stakes I'm typically a fan of, and the end of this episode raises them even more.

Much as I h̶a̶t̶e̶d̶ totally shipped Connor & Cordy, I remember really enjoying this tranche of episodes at the time. I watch it now...and it's a bit meh, but back then if really felt like Angel (the show) was going toe-to-toe with Buffy in terms of apocalyptic plot lines.

Good job noticing right away that it was a flashback. Not even half done with the season and the Sun is gone. So far, S4 is filled with twists...

Thank you for pointing out that the problem with C/C isn't Connor, whatever his other irritating qualities are.

Even mentioning Angelus has made me miss him, not the stalking and torturing buffy and her friends part but his sarcastic/smart ass attitude and just his cool demeanour 😍
