I hate the ruby switch, Katie was so much better. This is the season were it all starts to come together for the best two seasons of the series, not that the rest are bad. Castiel is the best.

Quite the intro to season 4, isn't it? It was really cool seeing your reaction with each of the Reveals. Overall, a big development to the series' evolution. It's an episode that I keep re-watching again and again. May not be the best ever episode - will have to see - but it is very significant as to where things really changed. About what Sam said he did after Dean dies - Sam didn't actually open the Gates of Hell, he said he tried to open them. Having a different person playing Ruby seems to be a big adjustment for a lot of people. But we need to remember that demons can posess any body and do go from one body to another when they need to. Lilith took of Ruby's previous body and sent Ruby who knows where. That body was probably no longer able to be possessed. Ruby probably had to find whatever body she could. Realistically, Katie may not have been available. But I think it was more that the original body wasn't available to posses. About Sam not telling Dean. He's afraid to. Both Dean and Bobby are not fans of the powers, as we've seen them say before. They are worried about those powers for some reason. At least one of your questions was answered. Who got Dean out of hell. But Dean doesn't believe in Angels and that "crap". This should be interesting. Enjoy!

All your questions are ones that most of fandom had as well - be patient. I loved this season opener so much, and your wide-eyed reaction was perfect. Castiel's introduction was and is probably the best character intro of the whole show (there's one other that's pretty awesome too, but you'll have to wait awhile for it). So excited for you to see this season, it's just great all the way through.

I love this episode and the bad ass introduction of Castiel and a whole new story arc. Also, the new Ruby, Genevieve, is actually Jared's wife irl (they fell in love on set).

I love the opening to season 4. And no thats not code, Castiel really is an Angel :D Buckle up, you're in for a ride.
