I love Elena in this episode so much -- the way she's taking charge of her life and refusing to be the damsel in distress anymore. (I know it's not the most popular opinion - a lot of people like Elena less and less as the series progresses, but my love for her grows more each season.) I also love the fact that it's obvious to pretty much everyone (except possibly Damon) that Elena was jealous over seeing Damon flirting with Rebekah, and that humanity-free Stefan found her attempts to deny it amusing.
