Lindsay Crouse might have made a good Pamela Voorhees ... I didn’t buy the whole “incompetent military” thing, but that was the direction they went. ... It WAS a surprise when the season story line was essentially wrapped up one episode early. ... Since you know this now, it never seems fully logical that they would NOT invoke the UberBuffy again, especially to fight Glory. ... Today UberBuffy would hire herself out to drive people to their destinations. And because it’s a combination of four different people, the UberBuffy only has a 1 in 4 chance of driving like a spaz.

2019-05-27 22:48:37 +0000 UTCThis episode definitely feels like the season finale and I think it was done like that by design. I have a feeling Whedon got bored of his own story arc and chose to end it early. He often says this was his least favorite season and big bad. I don't personally mind it. There was a lot of good this year imo. Remember the whole reason Buffy has survived as long as she has is because she has family and friends as Spike pointed out to Adam earlier. Buffy can't always do it alone. Forest was created in Adam's image and was almost as strong as he was. Of course, he could with help of the two walking corpses could hold Buffy down. Even the slayer needs help. Riley didn't defeat all three of them, though. He caught the corpses by surprises and yanked out their blood tubes. He then took on Forest one-on-one while Buffy took out Adam, the real big bad. Riley also barely beat Forest with the help of an explosive and you also have to remember the Initiative did things to Riley that we still didn't know the full extent of (at the time).

2018-12-16 22:22:05 +0000 UTCBTW I sometimes think you forget this show is 21 years old when you consistently mock Adam's floppy disk drive. I don't know if you noticed, but when Spike returned with the files, they were also on floppies and Willow put them into her own floppy drive on her laptop. Floppies weren't entirely phased out yet at this point in time. Most computers relied on floppies well into 2003 and later. I get the humor in 2018, but this was 2000. I love your sense of humor, but I just had to get that out there. I'm sure in 2018 he'd have a USB drive. ;)

Also I can't lie that McNamara was one of my least favorite side characters and his death made me happier than his life on this show
