But the MCU only started to do it to pay homage to Star Wars :P

2018-06-01 08:24:19 +0000 UTCNah, need to edit it and post it tomorrow. Had a lot to do - couldn't upload that early.
After Show Reactions
2018-06-01 08:23:38 +0000 UTCI watched this on DVD long after the series was finished, so I knew the title "To Shanshu in LA" long before I actually watched it. All along I thought "Shanshu" was a person, and "To Shanshu in LA" was the beginning of a letter to this "Shanshu" person. Ummm, here's a thought... would "ShanShow" be a good nickname for a certain person? I'm just askin'.

2018-06-01 04:54:22 +0000 UTCOooh! Intense stuff! Does the season Q&A come early to Patreon?
2018-05-31 16:04:20 +0000 UTC"To Shanshu in LA" is wordplay on the '80s movie "To Live and Die in LA", get it? Live AND Die. :)

2018-05-31 12:24:43 +0000 UTCI'd forgotten just how good this finale was. It's been a long time since I've watched it. So many things that this episode foreshadows, plus it gives Cordelia's character arc a huge push forward. Can't wait for Season 2. :)

2018-05-31 07:46:40 +0000 UTCI wrote this before watching the episode, and your "disarming" line made this even better! Can't wait to see your take on next season!

2018-05-31 04:23:17 +0000 UTCAnd with this finale the show goes from good with a few great episodes, to lots and lots of great episodes with only a few good ones. Kinda like Buffy after season 1. To quote Whistler from Becoming Part 1, "You'll see what I mean..."

2018-05-31 03:46:51 +0000 UTCLove this episode. Mostly cause of this critical turning point for Cordy. It’s definitely the beginning of a new life for her. And now both her and Angel and Wesley have a sense of real purpose. But yea, Charisma Carpenters acting in this episode is really touching and raw and makes me love the episode even more. And of course that cliffhanger with Darla! Joss Whedon continuity at its finest....

2018-05-31 03:34:47 +0000 UTComg i can't wait for you-know-what to happen you-know-when with you-know-who... ;) ... which really just means I'm excited to get into the rest of this series with ya!

2018-05-31 02:54:03 +0000 UTCSo by the end of season one, we basically have things setup for the remainder of the series. Without spoiling specifics.. anyone else agree?

2018-05-31 01:22:31 +0000 UTCLindsey did a pretty good job in this episode, we should give him a Hand...oh

2018-05-31 00:50:55 +0000 UTCBuffyverse had people losing hands long before MCU jumped on the bandwagon. Why would the evil law firm bring back Darla? Sweet twist,

2018-05-30 23:28:28 +0000 UTCContinuing the Marvel theme, Wesley played the weird alien servant of Thanos that talks to Loki in the first Avengers movie.

2018-05-30 19:52:56 +0000 UTCUgh I forgot just how emotional this episode is! I've seen it probably half a dozen times already and I still got teary eyed when Angel went to see both Wes and Cordy in the hospital. After all season of not wanting anything at all, now all he wants are his friends back. Or rather, his family.
