I was surprised that she didn't mention recognizing him on Stranger Things but I don't think she has gotten into LOTR and he was a bit young for her to recognize him here.

I like that. We get it in ET too, and that's also one of my favs. Then there's Stand By Me. And recently with Stranger Things.

2020-08-01 23:01:51 +0000 UTCI know they look young but Mikey and Mouth are 13 and Andy and Stef are 16 in the film so while they are a bit younger it's not that weird. They might not date but a kiss isn't that bad especially back then. It's not like they were 10 or something. There might be a bit of a double standard because if the guy was older it might seem even weirder to people but back then as audience member and a young boy it was more of a wish fulfillment where it would be cool to kiss a cute older girl.
