I'm rewatching this for the first time since it aired and enjoying the chance to reappraise. I remember at the time Emma Rigby being mocked for the accent and her recently inflated lips. Watching back, however, and she really does stand out. In a cast of talented actors, mostly going through the motions, she's the one giving it her all. The complexity of her portrayal...the little, brittle cracks you see in the poised exterior of the Red Queen...make her performance one of the best things about this spin off.
