I’m not sure about what kind of apples y’all have where you’re from but in the US our green apples, Granny Smith’s, are not only not sweet but they’re very tart. There are some people who like them & eat them raw but they’re mostly used in pies because they hold up to baking better than other apples & the cinnamon & sugar counteracts the tartness
