Firefly S01E14 - Objects In Space FULL REACTION (SERIES FINALE)

Maybe some day you'll have a chance to watch some of the special features. On one of them, Joss Whedon spoke of promising the cast that he would work something out, despite the show being cancelled. That's how we got the movie 'Serenity'.

Firefly continues to be my most favorite. Made a lot of life long friends because of that show's fandom. Also got the chance to do some once in a lifetime activites that I'm grateful for. Glad that you finally came around to liking the show. I would stick with your plan of watching Serenity after you finish Buffy and your current season of Angel. Serenity, while a continuation of Firefly, was designed to work as a standalone story. You'll be reintroduced to the characters at the start of the movie. So, it's not like you have to worry about forgetting stuff from the show. For the full fan experience, recommend watching the "R. Tam Sessions" alternately titled "Session 416" viral marketing short ahead of the movie. It doesn't spoil anything in the movie. Just drops a couple references you'll only understand after you see the movie. Fills in some missing backstory on River. Set prior to the events depicted in Firefly.

I really love this series and have watched it many times. And while I still enjoy it, I don't get that same feeling I did the first time I watched it, that is until I watched it here with you. Thank you so much for giving me that feeling once again Shan.

River was the only character who originally boarded Serenity without the captain's consent. If the show had to end early, it was a beautiful episode to end with. I think Firefly has developed its dedicated cult following partly because it's surprisingly satisfying to watch. In its short run they managed to pay off a number of things, like Jayne's betrayal, and River's stow away status.

The "Am I a lion?" conversation between Jubal and Simon is just so wonderfully weird. Even for a Whedon character, Jubal is so...eccentric. I love it, and Richard Brooks' performance. It's so peculiar to think that he was one of the original cast members on Law & Order in a much more straightlaced role.

Yeah, I love this episode, it hits pretty hard on a few levels. Cannot say how much I enjoyed, and still enjoy, this show. Even for so short a run, the crew feels like family.

Loved this one! I was going to suggest just finishing out Buffy and Angel's seasons like you said was most likely before you watch Serenity, but your reaction to this convinced me otherwise. I think you'll love the movie, and as much as I want your reactions to the other shows, if you're leaning toward watching Serenity, I say go for it! We can all wait on Buffy and Angel a little longer. 😀

I agree. I really wanted her to watch Firefly but I was hoping it would be after Buffy and Angel were over. Mostly because I'm I little compulsive about the order of things but I also thought it was going to be a little weird with Gina Torres on Angel . . .

Strongly suggest that you finish watching Serenity before you continue with Angel AND Buffy! Because someone from Firefly will be joining Buffy group and you going to have "Zoe" in Angel, "X" on Buffy and have 2 actors play 4 roles on 3 different series.

Thanks so much for including us in your Firefly Journey, Shan! I had so much fun watching your reactions and that you enjoyed the series! It’s my second fave after Buffy. I just wanted to add my opinion that in sincerely think you should watch the movie next week. Even just glimpsing Zoe in Angel and you already said you saw her differently. I really really think you should complete Firefly before you keep going.
