He's got a drivers license, which the police can quickly and easily have looked up and proven his identity before we even saw them at the station. Credit cards, can prove his job, possibly pictures of his wife and kid. If they were prepared he's also got the birth record, but it not it would be easy to prove by his files that he had a son by Jack's name. Meanwhile Echo has nothing. She's pretty much been wiped from the records. And any attempt to prove she's the baby's mother would actually show that she is not. Another woman would be shown on the birth record and would also show as dead.
