2019-08-01 13:00:15 +0000 UTCThe show is confusing because it's hard to discern what's happening in David's head and what's in the real world. Mostly, it takes place in his head. That's why there are a lot of trippy scenes that go nowhere and don't seem to make sense. It's a very slow burn but I can tell you that if you make it to the season finale, it is worth it.

David is powerful but has been unaware that he's being messed with, and just accepted the explanation that he was crazy. What Lenny's goal is will be revealed in upcoming eps.
