They all had stund doubles. Its obvious for me in quite a few scenes over the seasons. Pretty much whenever rhe camera isn't showing the paricular actresses face its the stunt double doing the scenes.

2019-08-02 15:19:00 +0000 UTCI watched all three seasons, and it did get so much better as it went along. Like a lot of shows, it took a moment to find it's footing, but it was a really good show for the most part.

2019-08-01 05:24:15 +0000 UTCI don't think you get just how serious girls and parents in these Olympic qualifying gymnastics programs are. This show actually tones everything down quite a bit from what they really have to deal with. The no dating rule used to be standard, most have strict diets, curfews, and mandatory 8 hours a day in a gym. These girls would have been working at this that hard since they were 3 or 4 years old. Short of having broken bones they would get up from that fall. You usually only have your one shot in your entire life to make it. After that many years working at this nothing will stop you.

Maybe I just wanted to suspend my disbelief at Emily being able to recover so quickly after a fall that looks like it could have broken her neck. It is so common in hero stories when the hero appears to be completely beaten and then impossibly gets up and overcomes the villain or situation and wins. I do find it hard to believe these 4 actresses do all the gymnastic feats but I never could tell when stunt doubles took over.
