While people consider this the best season, there's a lot that bring it down for me. I found the team jerks at the beginning of the season with how they treated Mace. They never tried to get to know him. Just assumed the worst because he wasn't Coulson. And they just kept going behind his back which caused more problems. Honestly, I think this was the characters at their worst with how they just got up on their high horse and thought they were the authority of SHIELD. Them killing Mace instead one of the main characters proved the writers had no guts to kill a beloved character and felt like they brought Mace in, the guy who becomes Captain America in the comics, just so they could prove people could die in the Framework without having to kill any of the main characters off. It was wasted potential because I think Mace would've had great development in season 5 that was wasted. I also didn't like how they treated Radcliffe. The characters know the Darkhold corrupts your mind and they don't even acknowledge this. They treat it as if Radcliffe did this on his own accords. And even corrupted, all Radcliffe wanted to do was give the team a peaceful life because of all the trauma they faced. But they never acknowledge this. Radcliffe was a friend who got corrupted by magic and his good intensions for his friends had consequences he never foresaw. He wasn't like Ward, yet they treated him like it. A little empathy or understanding would've been nice. And finally, WARD! They get my hopes up they'll bring Ward back and we'll have a good Ward for season 5 and the possibilities that can come with it and they threw it away. Yes this was a amazing season, but it still had a lot of flaws in my opinion.

Not a coincidence. This is the Dr. Strange tie in.

So is Iain de Caestecker (pronounced EE-an day CAS-ker), aka "Fitz", the most amazing actor or what?

I always thouhg the handling with Ophelia was a bit poor, I really like the character and the concept and I would have liked they do more with her, after becoming human, as it stand, she just become an obstacle to overcome

Ah, I think we all understand that life and other shows intervene. Heck there are a a half dozen, or more, shows I'd love for you to watch you haven't even glanced at. We will be happy to see you react to AOS but we are happy to watch you react to other things as well. Take your time. Good things, after all, come to those who wait.

At first I was all worried that the flickering light was a secret S.O.S. code or something, so I'm glad you noticed and pointed it out. Whew.

Amazing season. I'm glad you loved it. Looking at S1-4, this is definitely my favorite as well. It has a fantastic exploration of robots that Age of Ultron failed to do in its movie. In addition, Evil Fitz might be one of the most fascinating and engaging aspects. Seeing a character we love turn evil. It's just such great writing. I agree with you. And I'm glad you enjoyed it too.

I mean people do survive being shot in the head. Itβs rare but it happens. Look at Senator Giffordβs in America. Again itβs just super rare.

Previously, it was mentioned that Talbot had a metal plate in his head. I figure the plate is bullet proof.

Notes. This was going to be the series finale of the show before ABC renewed it for season 5.
Next season is written to be the final season of the show so it has a closure feel to it.
So many amazing moments this season.
I loved Radcliffe and Aida performance and I love how Shield writers make you sympathize with the villains

Mallory Jansen (rightfully) gets almost universal praise from fans for her performance as Aida/Agnes/Ophelia. Her range is amazing and she's a big part as to why people consider S4 the best season.
That said, huge props to John Hannah as Radcliffe. His last scene is actually the most poignant of the episode for me.
Basically every character. I don't want to leave anybody out because all the guest actors for this season did an amazing job making us care about people we had less than a season to get to know. I think they are a big part of what makes this season so good.
