Man, I kinda wish there would be a moment where team angel would appreciate Gunn, he gets way too much hate for the whole Illyria situation. I know they would have busted him out of that hell dimension eventually but it'd be nice if someone would just tell him they were sorry that it had to be Illyria that got him out. I don't know if I'm making any sense here but I guess I just feel really bad for him and I wish he got some comfort from his friends like just some sympathy or something. "You fucked up but you didn't deserve that and I'm sorry we let you stay in hell for so long." Something along those lines, idk :(

This really is just one of those episodes that doesn’t play for some of us, it seems. Hopefully this doesn’t happen for the series finale

First off, I really like how they have Gunn and Lorne assuming that the changes in Wesley's behavior is due to the presence of Ilyria in Fred's body. But, “Like he's two different people,” is the pertinent clue that Wesley's latest, biggest problem is trying to adapt to two sets of memories.
You're right Shan that this is a companion episode to “Judgment” (2-1). In the same way the metaphor was striped away from “Graduation Day” to get to “Chosen” on BtVS, they've replaced the un-named pregnant woman (representing humans) from “Judgment” with an actual person (Amanda) and the nameless 'tribunal' has become the Fell Brethren (and their solicitors at W&H).
Once again, Angel is standing between them but this time he lets the demons have the baby. What's up with that?

I'm gonna have to binge the Angel, TVD, TO reactions... I've been watching A LOT of RWBY and MHA reactions and keep telling myself I'll play catch up with ASR soon. I hurry to watch the Supernatural and AOS reactions but I've been CRAVING RWBY more than anything right now.

I loved when Illyria busted down the basement door. I was sad when she lost a lot of her power.

Yeah, for example, what about the Apocalypse? Still trying to get my head around that one. Lindsey said we're in the middle of it?
Oh, yes. The thousand-year war of good versus evil is well under way.
Evil just hasn't told anyone about it yet, which is probably why they're winning.
Oh, and by the way, we're apparently on the wrong side. Or the right side, if you like winning.
Sounds like you guys are buying it.
Next time you go out there, take a good look around. 'Cause it's true, Gunn.
Works for me. So what's that mean for us?
Tell us how we fight an invisible war. I don't even know who we're fighting.
But you... trapped in the web of the Wolf, the Ram, the Hart. So much power here, and you quibble at its price.
If you want to win a war, you must serve no master but your ambition.
"Serve no master but your ambition."
What's that?
I think you may have been right before... about Illyria being a resource. She just might make the team yet.

"My God, the speechifying. Has it ever occurred to you that now might not be the best time for when-we-were-muck stories?" lulz
Everyone is so fantastic in this episode -- well, except for Jamie Bergman, but I can ignore that.

“A true ruler is as moral as a hurricane. Empty, but for the force of his gale.”
Damn, Illyria has some fantastic quotes in this ep...

I love, love, love this episode. It's like a little Shakespearean piece disguised as a trippy time loop episode. Alexis Denisof takes Wesley to new places and is absolutely brilliant, particularly in his office scenes.

Sometimes that happens with Onehub. You have to download it instead of stream. The download button is on the top right.
Or you can wait and hope it sorts itself out, but only time will tell.

Glory never had anything to do with Earth like the Old Ones. And I think Illyria claiming to be a god to a god is an arrogant claim if you ask me, as she is a pure breed demon and only ever worshiped as a god. Who is older of the two cannot really be confirmed as Glory’s age was never outright stated (just that she predates language and is older than the key which has existed on the side of forever). Glory is probably more akin to another being you meet in the comics who predates Illyria (ancient higher power). Because of all this, I doubt Illyria knew who Glory was.

With Illyria being one of the old ones, the original pure breed demons of the primordium age, do you think she ever knew Glorificus or of The Key? In 'Underneath' she says 'I was God to a God', I can't see Glory being big with the worshipping of anyone else but what if one of the two other Hell Gods who managed to kick Glory out of their dimension did have Illyria as their own God.

One of my favorite episode in the Buffyverse. I have such an incredible amount of love for Illyria, she is both terrifying and hilarious :D
I agree that they had to nerf her, she was just too powerful. But I really enjoyed the way they did it.
Your reaction to Illyria slaughtering everyone was priceless :D

She did a pilot reaction for ST recently.
2019-08-23 08:25:25 +0000 UTC
"Touch me and die, vermin!" God, I love her.
The scene where she's killing everyone is awesome. I was screaming when I first watched it. I'm kinda annoyed that they nerfed her but I also understand why it had to be done. It would make future episodes pointless when they have an all powerful, god-like character on their team who can fix everything.

Oh man, Amy Acker as Illyria in this episode is just *appreciative squealing* - "I am Illyria, God King of the Primordium, shaper of things!" like damn. Really love this episode, absolutely adore Illyria and Amy Acker's performance just all the kudos in the world to her as an actress. Okay, going to actually watch the reaction now. :D

Hey Shan, if u haven’t watched it off screen I would recommend reacting to Stranger Things, it’s really good! If u were too react to it, I’d recommend binge watching it one season at a time (so try to watch a full season or at least half a season per sit down, season are only around 8 episodes long fyi), but then still releasing it on Patreon and YT one episode at a time. Also can’t wait to see ur reaction to the end of Angel!
