I have nothing wrong with what they did, I do think they could have had one scene of the "perfect" life, like they did with "Stelana" last season. Though some of that had been covered with the whole real talk Damon and Elena had last season as well. This is of course something that wasn't covered in this episode, they already sort of had that discussion as well, about them being real, not perfect.

I have seen other reactions/comments to this really tear into Stefan for doing what Elena asked him to do. Man TV is creating a generation of people who are just going to elope for fear of weddings.
