I had never seen this movie before but I decided to check out the reaction because well, you were reacting to it and also, it has Jennifer Lawrence and I did hear that this was a really good performance by her. She was really the only reason to even see this movie to be honest. The story, most of the other characters and the way everything ends up was just very boring. Just about everyone in this movie act like dicks. If it were me, I would have been happy to lose that house. Get me the hell out of that country bumpkin town, haha! Anyway, your reaction fit the movie. As you said, it was somber and you were quiet and reserved too. Call me uncultured or whatever but I'm looking forward to the BTTF sequel reactions.

She won an Oscar for her role in that movie and at the time I didn't like her at all(never really have been a fan of Jennifer Lawrence, though she has grown on me in the past couple of years) but I had to admit at the time she kicked ass in that movie. It's my favorite movie she's been in.

2020-01-04 05:51:37 +0000 UTCI’m not sure if you’ve seen this film but I’m hoping whoever reads this can recommend it to her, “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” is a drama film that unlike Winter’s Bone might be more your speed because of the teen aspect. It adds a level of innocence to it. I really enjoyed your reaction nonetheless Shan though I understood that you didn’t feel you had much to react to watching a slow burn Oscar Bait drama film rather than a crowd pleaser. I’m hoping more people can suggest a variety of these types of films because it’s interesting to hear your thoughts on these acclaimed Hollywood films you might have never heard of living in Australia. Really hoping we get a film tier someday so many great films out there. Thank you for the reaction!

I heard Jennifer Lawrence was cast In Hunger Games, never heard of her so I looked up a movie she did this was one of the only ones at the time. It is a very dreary story, I saw it as a day-in-the-life kind of movie, not one I would watch regularly but an interesting view.
