I know at the beginning you said you weren't familiar with this so this was the first of three TV movies done on an American cable network TNT which were basically prequels to the TV series The Librarians. The movies and show were fun adventure shows. Knowing what you react to, you watching this now is very good timing. Won't say anything further so to avoid spoiling anything.
