Kurt Russell visited the Stargate sets mid production and was very impressed with the cast and direction of the series. Too bad he never cameoed with James Spader as alternate Jack and Daniel.

It weird I think Kurt Russell is great and all, if I think about it he's probably one of my favorite actors, I think I prefer RDA version of Jack better. That said I know if that's the direction they would have wanted to take the movie Russell could have played it that way.
