Well said. I noticed she does this a lot, and talk over the dialogue making a stupid joke, complaining about something, or looking something up on her phone while the video is still playing. That's why she's lost, and confused most of the time when it comes to these reactions, and picks apart every, because she never pay attention. At least pause the video if something needs to be said, but she only pause when she needs to step away, and in just about every video of an episode she's like "I don't know if I like that... I don't like that" Because she always missing or forgetting the pieces that came before to like how they handle a situation or situations. Forgive me for this long rant.... Your comment is the most recent I've seen since I started watching the reactions 😅 Everyone else's comments are years old, so I never bothered to comment until now... Well except for when I had to comment on her last reaction to Black Lightning to defend the show lol. My thing is that she's too busy thinking realistically to a show that's about people living with magic... Not every little thing has to be explained. Sorry I'm rambling more now lol. 2024-05-22 16:44:29 +0000 UTCThe reasoning for just now showing how the pixie can reunite you with or help you find your true love is because they were using the pixie to reunite Emma & Hook. They wanted to show the correlation with all three situations (Snow/Charming, Snow/Charming/young Emma & Emma/Hook). It’s no different than how in almost every episode the backstory in the EF is paralleled with present day Storybrooke. This is actually one of my favorite episodes & I don’t have any issues with the aspects you had problems with. I loved seeing Emma & Hook reunite that I didn’t care how it happened & I still get emotional with his “official” proposal. And I love the way in which Regina broke the sleeping curse. I just prefer to enjoy watching the show instead of tearing things apart & being nitpicking about them.

But in any case this show does have a BAD habit of disregarding its own established precedents. Almost every season has a dozen ex machina. It breaks rules that were supposedly unbreakable and Retcons the past repeatedly. It does it so much it doesn't even bother me anymore, its just part of the show.

I know, it seems cheap. But haven't we learned to expect this kinda shit from the show at this point?

It sucks to see that happen in any show but I know of shows that went longer that kept the continuity the same. It's hard to say anymore without spoilers. I've written 5 different paragraphs, only to go back and erase each of them because I realized I can't talk about it yet. So I'll just leave it here.

2021-11-22 14:08:46 +0000 UTCThis show has had a downfall in the later seasons, but I do think they had a few good storylines (Hyde, Camelot, Dark Swan, More) however, they weren't executed properly. I just think the writers rely so much on sleeping curses, memory loss, and more; that every story they have relies on these. I think if they had moved away from these the show would have been better for it. But the show still has its good moments. But I also think its because this show relies so much on hope, and happy endings, that they need memory loss otherwise, they think they wouldn't have that. And they always cop out even when Snow & Charming was dark. (Because in the end the Author technically was the one who wrote Snow & Charming to take the darkness out of Emma and put it into Lilly.) But I do agree with you, with them both waking up, being too late. In my opinion they have bled their pasts dry, and now their just dragging themselves through the mud, trying to find a story.

I agree they pulled this pixie petal portal concept out way too late it would have been way better if they introduced it in season 2-4 I took Connors disobedience to be similar to Stefan defying klaus' compulsion only instead of doing so out of love it was hatred for the black fairy.
