What was the point in killing Wizard's son? I thought at first that Icicle was going to try to use the tragedy to motivate, manipulate and/or threaten Wizard, but then he ended up killing him too. Was he afraid that the son may have inherited his father's power? It just seems needlessly tragic otherwise.

Man, I feel really bad for the Wizard guy, even back in the other episode. I'm glad that not all these villains are moustache-twirlers. Brainwave kinda was. But we have quite a variety of rogues and I can appreciate that.

I don't know why you're laughing at his name, "Mahkent", Shan. That's always been Icicle's name, even the Smallville version.

Is it bad for me to say that I found that opening sequence both touching and oddly funny? This dying woman tells her husband, "If they get in your way, destroy them," while he's a wreck right next to her. Call me weird, but this is the kind of supervillain story I can get behind.

So, the JSA headquarters had the Thunderbolt, a Green Lantern power battery and the Helmet of Fate, among other items, just sitting out in the open and as far as we could tell the only security was an electronic door and an owl. Great job, Pat. Seriously though, that’s a pretty hefty collection of powerful weapons and relics. I think that up to this point in the Arrowverse, the only thing we’ve seen that’s more powerful would be the Book of Destiny from the Elseworlds crossover.

I was definitely shocked by both deaths, I thought that Joey would end up having his dad's powers and I for sure thought we would see more of Zarick as the Wizard but apparently not.

The one on Smallville was the son, who IS a teenager here. The father, who is an adult villain on this show, was only seen to be in a coma on Smallville.

You would love the show (Sliders) great show. Lasted 5 seasons, and each actor does a great job acting in it. can you please do the reaction to the pilot episode. PS, its a 2 part episode.

You'd think that with someone's personality like Courtney's, this show would be more unicorns and rainbows than Supergirl, but NOPE! They kill a kid 3 episodes in. I really like this version of Icicle more than the version we got on Smallville. That version seem to be a bit arrogant and bratty though he was a teenager as far as I could tell. This version seems to be a bit more sane and complex which makes him more interesting
