Idk if this is late but why did Hook #2 and Zelena have better chemistry in 7x11 than Henry & Jacinda bish have had for the whole season.... LUL

I wonder who Hanzel is ...And where's the house made of candy!? 6. Yeah.. Doesn't make sense that the other wish balloons just stayed on the ground... After you light them they go up.. Like they didn't know what to do with Jack so they rewrote his character a bit... I thought he was named Jack cause he was from Jack and the beanstalk 8. I'm guessing they're writing Dru out of the show so they can focus on some sort of mid-season shift towards a proper ending for the show??? Cause yeah.. She got off kinda easy 9. A fairy tale serial killer... Really? ....I feel like this just came out of nowhere and yeah it feels like Jack isn't the same character he was in the first episodes we saw him in... Like I noted before.. Seems like they're just trynna write in some high stakes just before the show ends

A star sapphire ring which turns out to have the power to summon up incredible storms, and they have to face down Blackbeard (or so it seems) to obtain it. What does this sound like? Hook and his brother Liam, desperate to join the King's Navy, working with and then against Captain Long John Silver to obtain the Eye of the Storm, a sapphire with the same powers. The difference here seems to be that no-one (or at least not Henry and Hook) knew Davy Jones's ring had this power, and thus they were seeking it simply to be Ella's wedding ring. Otherwise the similarity is uncanny, to the point it's odd Hook doesn't even remark on it. Since the point of divergence between the original Enchanted Forest and the Wish Realm was Regina getting depowered and not casting the Dark Curse, this puts Hook's past with Liam, including this event, exactly the same in both timelines. This is the best (and funniest) explanation I could find for Robin being called Margot. Robin's cursed counterpart is named "Margot", the same first name as actress Margot Kidder. Kidder narrated several Wizard of Oz adaptations in the late eighties, and she also is most famous for her role as Lois Lane. also robin and henry got to interact! (cousins!) loving robin/alice, they are adorable and definitely the standout couple of the season. Also the heart beignet reminded me of the grand Mills family tradition of heart ripping out (i know it was meant to be romantic and it was but that was all i could think about)

2022-02-08 00:55:09 +0000 UTCstuff i noticed in the past 2 eps Anna Cathcart played young!drizella last ep and she played drizella's daughter in descendants so that's a little casting joke Flynn's Barcade is a reference to Flynn's Arcade from the movie Tron and its sequel Tron: Legacy. Complete with a Recognizer image on the wall. When Ivy seeks out Roni at the bar, you can see that the label on the beer bottle sitting on the counter begins with the letters "Asch". When Henry gets a bottle of the same brand from Ivy's stepsister Jacinda in "A Pirate's Life", you can see that the full name of the fictional brand is Aschenputtel, which is the German name for Jacinda's New Enchanted Forest counterpart, Cinderella. Also a guy named Remy showed up as a bartender for Roni and he also cooks for them. This is a reference to Remy from Ratatouille. Nick shares a similar cursed name with the other Hansel, whose cursed name is Nicholas Zimmer. In the Brazilian translation of both "Jack and the Beanstalk" and "Hansel and Gretel" fairytales, the names of the characters "Hansel" and "Jack" are both translated as "João", a name similar to "John". Once Upon a Time's portrayal of Hansel is not the first rendition of the character to be a witch hunter. The 2013 dark fantasy movie continuation of the original fairytale, entitled Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, follows a similar premise, as does the comics Fables, which is also about fairytale characters living in the modern world. Fables also contains a version of Hansel's sister Gretel who becomes a practitioner of witchcraft after the encounter with the witch, which indirectly leads to her downfall, much like Once Upon a Time. Rumple is repairing the teacup that was broken when Tilly woke him up. Henry and Nick have beers while Rogers has water with lemon. At the beginning of the season, he told the real Hook that he hadn't touched a drop of rum in years, and it seems his cursed persona is a teetotaler as well. Not a direct quote, but when Rumple threatens Facilier, he notes he'll make sure all of him "gets back to the Other Side" (as in, his Villain Song "Friends On the Other Side" in the Disney film). By episode's end, Henry is is bound and gagged in the home of a crazed fairytale psycho, just like his mother... except unlike her, this fellow doesn't want any sort of belief or curse-breaking and is on the verge of killing him like his other victims. The non-magical hero needed to break a curse intends to leave the enchanted area, but is stopped by having his car break down right at the edge of town—instead of by a wolf on the road, by a shard of glass slipper in his tire. Once again, Henry gets to take out Blackbeard with extreme ease (aided this time by the fact the pirate was throwing the fight). He even gets knocked out again too, though this happens a bit later, and thanks to Hook. Now that the New Enchanted Forest's Hansel has been revealed, he and Gretel are shown to have something in common with Ava and Nicholas Zimmer, the Gretel and Hansel from True North: the girl is blond, the boy is a brunette.
