Yes, DD214 is just a form identifier for US military. Anyone gets of of US military get a DD214. Its just proof you served with information about your service (i.e. which branch, how long, awards, training received, etc.).

Patrick - Excelsior

Also fun trivia, Luke has siblings in the comics. He has two sisters and a brother. His sister Tamara "Tam" was Tim Drake's love interest when Tim was Red Robin, she was named after Thomas Wayne. His other sister Tiffany was a social worker and then after the New 52 reboot was retooled to be the baby of the family and a preteen, in a few possible futures she's grown up to be Batgirl (with a hot pink batsymbol) . His brother, Timothy nicknamed Tim is very obscure was a rookie criminal back in the 70s. Tim came back recently and now goes by Jace and is Batman! So yeah.

Kate says she was dishonorably discharged from Point Rock. In reality, this would be extremely unlikely. Such discharges are basically the same as a felony conviction and require a court-martial, which there's no evidence Kate had, and DADT violations were not that severe. Her apparently give-'em-hell attitude at the time might have resulted in a general or other-than-honorable discharge, but in all likelihood it would have been honorable. DD 214 is the correct colloquial name for the discharge form that every US Armed Forces member receives after a discharge, separation, or retirement, but Kate mentions it as if it's a particular code that isn't used on every form, rather than being the name of the form itself. It's also strange that no one in the Crows picks up the same clue, given that many of their recruits are stated to be ex-military. Julia is a member of the Special Reconnaissance Regiment, but refers to it as an "agency" despite it being a special operations unit. When Luke demands to know why Kate hasn't found Cartwright yet, Kate says he must have gone underground. Like maybe, six foot underground? On Batman killing the Joker, I usually hate it but having it be why Bruce abandoned being Batman makes sense. Something similar happened in an alternate universe comic series, it's revealed Batman killing the Joker led to him quitting in shame so I think it makes sense. Otherwise, Bruce would never leave Gotham.

Robles is the dude from Charmed I was talking about, you still didn't recognize him? Godrick his name was or something, he tried to screw over Abbie for the Demon Overlord position and Parker was involved, something like that, I don't really remember the details, but I remember his face)) The Detonator, who Robles was mimicking this episode, is actually from the comics. Was a memeber of League of Assassins. Very different character, very different M.O., nothing about the army, or being dishonorably discharged, or making heroes looks unheroic by forcing them into choosing themselves or innocent people. The show just took the name, everything else is unrelated.....well, except, the detonations of the bombs) Tommy showed back up, just in time for him to be revealed to be the master mind behind the death of Lucius Fox. You had to know they wouldn't just waste Nolan for a one-off appearance, thet had to bring him back! Also, Magpie from episode 1x04 is in Arkham.....why? Is she crazy? I though she was just a thief in a bird costume.....does she actually think she's a bird like Tommy said?! The brought the actress back for 10 seconds of screen time and one line of dialogue lol.
