That's interesting. Considering the whole OUAT cast had 6 year deals, Robert Carlyle and Lana Parrilla signed new ones after season 6, but Colin's still had a year on it, 'cause he only signed at season 2.
Also Emily Bett Rickards signed a contract to be a regular in season 2 of Arrow, and after it expired she chose not to renew it and exited the show after season 7, that is also a 6 year deal.
Nina Dobrev and Michael Trevino left TVD when their contracts were up after season 6.
Someone else just recently exited a show, I won't say, so not to spoil, but if you know, you know, also after a 6 years as a regular.
Maybe there's like an extention option, for a year to made it seven, but only if both parties want it? Or maybe there are different "standarts" for different networks or different types of regulars, like Jeremy or Tyler were regulars, but were missing half of the episodes on TVD, so maybe they were on a different contracts?!

Standard tv contracts for actors is 7 seasons. They ended the show a year early. Grant Gustin and a number of actors on The Flash renewed their contracts prior to the start of season 8.
Covid and Melissa's pregnancy had a lot to do with why they decided to end the show. The lead actors in Arrowverse shows are often on set for 16 to 18 hours a day. That's a lot to ask of a new mother.

I think Lena never made Kara Anti-Krypto suit in Earth-Prime timeline.
I don't think making Lena play the bad guy worked, she never went full on, and I don't think anyone believed that she will, everyone loves her, and they literally ressurected Lex to be the actual villain, so she wouldn't have to.
So them stretching this for a almost a full season, it wasn't worth it. We got a couple of tear jerking scenes and a great 100th episode......but we got a lame repetetive season, with me questioning everyone's stupidity all the time.
And it's not all Lena's fault, Leviathan is just meh, but still, her being angry at Kara didn't help, as it took a lot of screen time and story time!
Also I don't think they knew about season 6 being final at this point. The show was renewed for season 6 in like january/february of 2020, but the announcement that season 6 is gonna be the final one came only in september 2020, about the time when in was allowed to start production after the Covid shutdown.
They built a new set for the Tower just this season and destroying DEO is just an excuse to move everyone to that new set, like Arrowcave being destroyed or it's location found out and them building a new one, until they settled with the one in season 4 that lasted until the end.
Usually the standart network tv contract for a series regular is 6 seasons, if the contract didn't change during the move from CBS to the CW, then Melissa, Chyler and David all had their contract expire after season 6, maybe they didn't wanna renew?!
Also Mel getting pregnant and postponing the production, they also had to cut 2 episodes from season 5 order(they planned for 22, but had to cut to 20, but only 19 aired because of corona), and the the shutdown with Covid throwing more wrenches in the wheels, and the declining ratings didn't help the cause. And I'm not sure how Supergirl fared in syndication and how did it do on Netflix.
I'm pretty sure in the statement about the final season it was said to be a mutual decision between Melissa and the network or something like that. That could be just it, but maybe it's just a standart PR stuff, not to burn bridges in case you would work with these people again.

I believe they might have said in a previous episode that Lex had Kryptonite in the DEO to protect from rogue Kryptonians.
With Rama Khan, they did remember fighting him pre-Crisis, but in Earth-Prime's version of events, he hadn't shown up before. I think they said that in this earth, Leviathan hadn't shown up.

You could do a ranking at the end of each year of the Arrowverse for the seasons of the shows for that year. So this year would be Arrow S8, Flash S6, Legends S5, Supergirl S5, Black Lightning S3, Batwoman S1, Stargirl S1.

Of course there's Kryptonite in the DEO, Lex is in charge
Also yes, this season in my opinion isn't bad/annoying, like Arrow S4 or Flash S5, but it feels like every other episode is just boring filler. Crisis didn't help, when it basically reset the entire Leviathan storyline back to where it started, but I mean, The Flash got around that by creating two Big Bads for one season - Bloodwork's storyline was great and Eva is... not as meh as Leviathan at least? MeanwhiIe I can't remember what happened in half of this season's episodes
