It’s heartbreaking that Blane was so desperate to be free of his father’s control that he killed a beloved family member, only to find out his problem had gone away on its own.

This is some of the same people who made Veronica Mars, so while they have the same great up points, they have the same down points. I love Veronica Mars, but for the most part the cases she took on were teenage drama and many times not the interesting part of the show. For me, the best parts of these shows are the threads going through the season, the relationships and the unfolding long term storylines. Second is the humor. I always love to see how the brain is going to affect Liv. One of my favorite is grumpy old Liv. Yes, it's a bit edgy because old cranky people hold out of date views on a lot of things, but seeing her tiny little self being such a curmudgeon is always hilarious. Don't worry though, the early season still has the setup and the buildup of the early season threads. Soon enough they will be bigger components of the episodes.
