I realize that it is too late for Shan to read this, but I would like to point out that Makepeace IS an established character. He's appeared multiple times in the last couple of seasons, and has been mentioned by name a few times as well. The leader of SG3, I believe. I minor character, true, but he's been around a couple of seasons by this point.

1. Ok so if I calculated this correctly.. Given week breaks between seasons and at some point having multiple shows in the same week plus the remaining movies thrown in at some point when they make sense continuity wise... You'll be reaching the end of what is currently known as the Gateverse on the 16th of April of 2025 (I have ofcourse not counted any unforeseen breaks) ...And THEN after a week break we can most likely go into the new Stargate show on the 30th of April ...I'll be waiting for you Froots
2. Nope.. Didn't come out of nowhere at all actually... When we first met Jolinar when she took over Sam and in so doing we heard about the Tok'ra.. Jolinar mentioned that she could leave Sam but that it would come at a risk.. It was established from that very first episode that they had the ability to leave a host and it was mentioned several times since then that the Tok'ra have the means to extract a symbiote
3. They didn't state that the Tollan built their own stargate... But... When O'neill and his team first arrive on the planet we can see the Tollan stargate in the shot.. O'neill turns around to look at it and says "Very nice" ...It's clearly NOT a stargate like the one we are used to seeing ....You were talking about it having been a while since you saw Enigma (the first episode with the Tollan from Season 1) and so you missed it (I've since then sent you a pic of the gate in that scene)
4. I'm ASSUMING The Nox are human... As we know from first few episodes of the show the humans that inhabit the galaxy once originated from Earth.. I suppose The Nox are probably a very advanced form of our ancestors.. They never had World Wars and the Dark Ages and whatever else to slow down their technological development... And they are pacifists to the extreme living in huts on the surface of their planet ...I think the "costumes" they wear are their form of feeling closer to nature ....Again.. I'm assuming though and you might be right that they might be alien ...added nowish... Opinions on Discord are divided.. We don't really know who is right
5. Well what can I say Froots.. You do and say things and I pay attention... I'm sorry nobody else mentioned the guitar bit.. You put effort into that gag.. It was funny and you made me laugh
6. You try to correct Daniel over calling it a "Falling star" instead of "Shooting star" ....Over here we call them falling stars as well.. Or rather "vallende ster" ....They're not actually stars though but just really small pieces of meteorite evaporating in our upper atmosphere.. If they were ACTUAL stars we'd all be dead ...Imagine the sun hitting us.. Our sun is a star and it's about a 109 times bigger than Earth ....There's a little astronomy lesson you got that you didn't figure you'd ever have ...You're welcome ...Yes.. I am dork
7. They've definitely upped the effects of the even horizon (or "puddle") since the beginning of the show.. It looks much better in some shots
8. Yeah what idiot would see meteors raining from the sky and be like.. Y'know what.. Probably just a bit of bad weather.. I'mma go fishing
9. Ok I'mma have to count the amount of Smallville jokes you made this episode ...added after the edit... Ok so I counted only 3 ...I for some reason expected more ...For shame
10. Ok sloooooow down there Froots... You feel it'd be important for them to be procreating right now??? It's been a few months... I'm sure their "lineage" will be just fine
11. Yeeeeeahhh.. It was not up to her to throw away O'neills SG uniform... And she almost did it without asking too.. Yuck ...added later... I don't think she's preggers
12. True... We didn't need to see SG-1's effort to get to O'neill.. We knew they'd never leave him behind... It'd make that radio transmission more epic near the end too... And we'd have seen more of O'neill going through the motions of perhaps never returning home
13. Y'know what... I never realised that O'neill and Teal'c are the same height... The scene where Teal'c is standing in the doorway preventing O'neill from leaving sickbay kinda looks hilarious to me now... It'd be better if Teal'c had been a bit taller then he'd have looked more intimidating in that scene... NOT that he doesn't come off as intimidating... But in this case it looked kinda funny
14. So many references to other shows Froots... But nah.. O'neill is just pretending to be a DICK. for the sake of getting intel
15. As you're already catching on that it IS a plan... The best way to get away with stuff is if as few people know about it as possible ....So NOT letting Daniel and the rest of SG-1 in on it was the smart move... It needed to look believable ...added later... Who knows.. The place COULD have been bugged and perhaps Hammond and O'neill were playing it safe cause of that
16. True... Makepeace is a dumbass name... And also... Daniel is a great guy for trynna suggest Sam as an option to lead SG-1
17. I'm sitting here thinking how fucked it'd be if we'd have seen the woman (Lara?) from the previous episode waiting by the gate only for O'neill to be like "Soz.. Gotta go" and dial out before she can even say a word
18. Yeeeeaahh.. It woulda been much more shocking if we had a well established character be the rat inside the SGC instead of lame-ass Makepeace
19. There was no private conversation between O'neill and Hammond... Every time they spoke there was someone there with them.. Even in Hammonds office where O'neill was "Let go".... Teal'c was there PLUS like I said before the place could be bugged and it's not like Hammonds office is sound proof ...The best course of action was to keep everyone in the dark about the plan and so that's what they did and everyone fell for it... Good move
20. Another grievance you had is that O'neills house could've been bugged or better yet shouldn't have been bugged... Even if it wasn't bugged.. As Hammond stated.. Their reactions needed to be real.. So when Daniel went back to the SGC and told Carter and Teal'c about how he went over cause he drew the short straw.. One can imagine there'd be people who might be able to hear this conversation take place through bugs or just by being in the room.. It needed to look real
21. Oh and during the edit I noticed that apparently The Asgard insisted O'neill to handle this solely... Cause they like him

Two things: First, Jack never spoke to General Hammond in private at any point during the episode. During the "prison or retirement" ultimatum conversation, Teal'c was in the room. And since Teal'c wasn't part of the plan, the two had to keep the charade going.
Second, you kinda talked over the line that Hammond made saying "the Asgard were insistent that Colonel O'Niell be the only one involved." Yes, it handwaves why Teal'c, of all people, can't be trusted with the secret, but it is what it is.
Also, as an aside, that the Asgard were involved does allow for the idea that the SGC may have been bugged along with O'Neill's house. They would have beamed Jack to one of their ships to make complaints about the various thefts to begin with, so any plan to combat the thefts could have been made there without fear of surveillance.

This wasn't Robert Makepeace's first appearance. He was seen 4 times before that.
