Supergirl S06E01 - Rebirth FULL REACTION

Superhero shows, or heck fantasy shows in general, have a major issue with giving everyone powers towards the end of their run. It's really annoying. Alex isn't getting powers, but giving her a superhero name is essentially the same sort of deal. What do shows have against regular humans?

All of the Arrowverse shows would make more sense if they were on their own earths. Black Lightning was recently trapped inside a city and metahumans were being attacked and yet Team Flash didn't care. Supergirl has been having to fight Lex Luthor for a while now and Superman hasn't bothered to get involved. This isn't even an issue that covid caused. Having Flash and Green Arrow on one world was asking the audience to suspend their disbelief enough when it was just those two in the world. Supergirl being on a different earth (mainly because it was on its own network) was actually a smart decision. They should have continued to put new shows on new earths to explain why they didn't help each other.

I feel no sympathy for Andrea Rojas. She was annoying from the moment she was introduced. She hasn't seemed to care about anything beside making more money for the company and hasn't really done anything to make her likeable. Female Brainy told our Brainy that on her earth, they lost because they were fighting Lex and Leviathan. That could be true, but that doesn't mean that the only solution was to work with Lex. I'm sure they could've tried other things. About the Phantom Zone, I could be wrong, but I think the prison part was just Fort Rozz and Fort Rozz was in the Phantom Zone. I'm not entirely sure though since it's been a while since I've seen the first few seasons.

And also wasn't Kara in a state of sleep the all time last time she was in the phantom zone?

The thing Nia did near the beginning that you were confused about was astral projecting. She has done it before but only once or twice. J’onn didn’t find out M’gann was a white martian by doing the mind meld. He wanted to do it, but M’gann refused because she knew he would find out the truth. J’onn found out after parasite drained him and M’gann was forced to give him a blood transfusion. He started changing into a white martian and that’s when he realized the truth. I also prefer Alex as an agent, but they aren’t turning her into a full on superhero. She’s supposed to be more of a vigilante who’ll help fight some crime but won’t necessarily be well known like Supergirl and Dreamer. I think the name is just so the team as something to call her when they’re in front of civilians. The Phantom Zone was never technically a prison, but the maximum security prison Fort Rozz was housed in the Phantom Zone. This is from like season one so it’s hard to remember, but Kara was stuck there for about 12 years when indigo (that blue lady who was a Coluan like brainy) who was on Fort Rozz got Kara’s ship loose and then made it pull fort rozz with it. Fort Rozz crashed on earth and a bunch of alien prisoners got out, and then Kara later flew it in to space because it had myriad in it.

This premiere was definitely clunky, because they were wrapping everything up from last season, as well as introducing new plotlines. The effects of COVID can be felt on the writing, much like the ending of last and the beginning of this season of the Flash.

Brandon Wiesner

Probably best if you don't mention this season beyond this episode, because she hasn't watched it yet.

Brandon Wiesner

I know how they explain the phantom zone in season 1 but I'm still confused and I am kinda annoyed that Martian manhunter or Miss Martian didn't erase lex memory about Supergirl identity like that's easy they're martians but no Lena should do it because somehow the martians are dumb or something I just thinking if supergirl earth never merge than the question of why barry wouldn't help will never be a question one last thing Alex what are you doing what happened her being agent is better (p.s. this is edited because I kinda spoiled something by mistake)
