I had a surgery 6 years ago and after it I was prescribed 120 mg of oxycodone 4 times a day. They kept prescribing that amount to me (and I kept taking it because it is physically impossible to avoid becoming addicted to that dose) for almost 6 months. Opiods have become much harder to get in the last few years due to many lawsuits and federal investigations but at the time of this episode many doctors were handing them out like candy.

2021-02-03 14:00:43 +0000 UTCLike most american things american pharmacology is a twisted joke. About ten years ago congress defunded the drug enforcement agencies ability to investigate suspicious narcotics shipments to pharmacies because the pharmaceutical industry basically owns our government.
