Yeah, comparing this episode to say, Curse of the Earth Totem on Legends of Tomorrow, really shows where one series fails and the other works. Here, the situation is treated seriously, but the characters actions are ill thought out, and less competent than they should be for the sake of the plot. Where on Legends, the plot is less serious, because the point is to have fun with their work. And bad choices made by the characters are actually in character, like Ray going to save Nora, a bad call in the moment but he's a guy with a big heart who would look out for her like that.

He killed Atom Smasher by tracking him a nuclear will (or whatever the hell it was) and the guy that turned to sand by hitting him with lightning. I think we are supposed to forget that though.
