This episode started a little slow but it picked, as you said. Bit more action now. Things getting rocky rocky between Shades and Mariah. Huh, Misty now in charge of precinct. Just 2 episodes she quit, now that's a promotion. Luke's dad is seems to be possibly earning some trust from Luke. Only time will tell if this heals their relationship or not. They seem to have a child/parent theme going in this season with Luke and his dad, Mariah and her daughter and Bushmaster and his father figure that's trying to get him to stop Bushmasters quest for revenge. I like the idea Luke is having Misty call Danny, lets hope he's in it and its not just Danny sends something to help.
