Still doesn't set precedence on sentencing for other meta's, because sentencing is up to the judges discretion on a case by case basis.

Andrew Polinski

A lot of innocent people accept plea deals because they are afraid the verdict or sentencing won't go their way. That's actually the most believable part of this court case.

Zach Hershman

Frost wasn't offering up a plea deal. This was a sentencing hearing. Frost was just telling the judge she would accept the highest penalty that was on the line. At that point in a trial it is completely up to the judge on what punishment they choose from the possible punishments for the crimes.

Zach Hershman

What I got from your reaction is that you would be a fan of a spinoff show with Kramer as the main character. Honestly, the whole Kramer thing has been annoying. It seems weird for the government to be going after Frost now when she's been out in the open doing hero stuff for a while. She hasn't exactly been hiding from the law. This storyline would've made more sense earlier when Frost first started helping Team Flash in public. You would think that if the government was going after Frost, they would have also gone after all of Team Flash for working with a fugitive. Instead of this, they should've had a storyline where Frost does a big heroic feat and had the president or someone issue her a pardon. Would've been better than this Kramer story, although maybe the point of this story was to save on the budget costs of using Frost's powers.

Luis Garcia

Wow, I forgot how much of a drag this episode was... my goodness. Somehow this episode managed to be incredibly important to the overall plot and also not at all gripping in terms of story. I feel the writers really seem to have suffered under Covid, cause on a 2nd watch through this certaintly ain't it.

SWTobito

Also of note Frost can't simply stand up and offer a plea deal to the judge both prosecution and defense have to agree before a plea deal can be brought forth in front of the judge, effectively opening it up to appeal and the judge looking at being disbarred.

Andrew Polinski

so some contex for comic book lore, the speed force was at war with the other 3 forces and eventually trapped them. i can see they are trying to do pull that story a bit with the speed force wanting to be the only force to exist, however the pacing, writing and execution is not very good, im gonna blame the pandemic for this .

Peter Mitchell

Tried to edit my comment but it ended up deleting it. But Anyway yeah, the sentencing hearing. They didn't know what the judge was going to rule. Why would they choose life without parole? Maybe the judge was going to give a much lighter sentence. It was clear she wasn't in favor of the cure option. That just didn't make sense.

Brandon Wiesner

Actually there was no trial, Frost pleaded guilty and waived the trial and all we saw was the sentencing hearing.

Handy

It doesn't make sense because by pleading guilty and requesting life without parole that does not set precedence about using the cure or not using the cure as punishment. If the judge ruled that the cure wasn't the answer without the plea then that sets precedence.

Andrew Polinski

It did make sense, she wanted ti prove herself and wanted to clean her conscious.

Tommy

I'm not sure if you remember this but a season or so back I mentioned how Frost is my favorite character on this show and you asked if I liked how her story line was treated in this show and I replied with "for the most part" well this was the most part. This was the episode that I almost quit watching the flash, up until this point the season had been absolute trash and this episode almost sealed the deal, Frost pleading guilty made totally no sense at all.

Andrew Polinski

Honestly everyone in the fan base hates Kramer it's just her explanation on why she hates killer frost or all metahumans it's so stupid so what if you trust one nobody cares Okay the speed force the turn to villain or whatever she's doing makes no sense you want to help Barry by killing the forces maybe you could talk to them try to figure out why they're doing this and not trying to kill them it makes no sense for the speed force character or the speed force in general And this is why making a metahuman cure wasn't a good idea Cisco Last point call the other heroes like Supergirl Black lightning hell maybe even have Barry going in as the flash because those heroes will have explained that Frost help them save the world on multiple occasion that will convince the court

Joseph Jimenez

The reason you havent really seen Cecile win is because we only see her extremely hard cases with like the flash or killer frost ect. We dont see all the normal cases she actually does.
