It's actually also Chinese for "Teacher" ...Which is probably intentional as Shifu taught Daniel a lesson in this episode (4x17) that absolute power can corrupt even the best of people (in this case Daniel) 8. Carter acts like she's never heard of liquid naquadah before but she has... It's what powers staff weapons from what we've been shown before.. She even talked about this with her mirror self in an episode of Season 2 9. Side note on 4x17 ...In the vision of the future that Daniel saw we didn't see much of Teal'c.. He went "missing" at some point.. Joseph Mallozzi ...One of the writers behind the show said there was something they cut from the story during the script or editing phase... A scene where we'd find out WHERE Teal'c went ...Evil Daniel apparently pulled off a Bonnie Bennett and locked Teal'c up in the basement.. He transfused his blood with that of Teal'c to be able to use a Goa'uld hand device .....Can Teal'c use a hand device?? Most likely not given it's Goa'uld technology.. Why would the Goa'uld give Jaffa's the ability to wield their tech? It'd make them look less godly... Plus it would also create a plothole since Teal'c has never stated to be able to use it before 10. Holy shit yeah it's Speedforce!! And she's disguised herself as a Nora Allen look-a-like working for Daniel Jackson for some reason! ..Why always Nora though?? ....She looks young yeah.. Probably filmed just AFTER her real life emo phase 11. Yeeeeeaaahh... Even though people DO die on Stargate... The fact that they tried to write off Teal'c with a one liner was a complete give away that this was all a vision or something and you figured it out pretty quickly... Nice job Detective 11. Nah that was not Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) ..He'd have been 35 by the time this episode aired by the way.. Still pretty young ..Heroes started 5 years after this episode came out by the way 12. I very much doubt Daniel dreamt the WHOLE year ...I dunno about you.. But my dreams consists mostly of segments going from one location to the other.. Often the shifts between them don't even make sense ....I'm assuming this is how Daniel saw what he did this episode 13. You asked what the point was of Shifu coming to meet them? ...Shifu wanted to learn more about his mum and in the process Daniel learned more about his own path.. Because it is so clear.. It takes a longer time to realize.. If you immediately know the candlelight is fire.. Then the meal was cooked a long time ago.. Lightning flashes.. Sparks shower.. In one blink of your eyes you have missed seeing ...Some things the monk at Kheb once said ...No worries Froots.. You're watching this for the first time and so it's easy to miss things 14. Soooooo... We found out Teal'c is 101 ....How the fuck are you supposed to put that many candles on a cake!? That seems like a fire hazard waiting to happen 15. Well... That was an episode... One note about 4x18 ...One... 4x17 was MUCH more interesting ..The only thing interesting about 4x18 were the cats and I hate cats ...Not yours though... Yours are alright ...Especially Smudge cause she likes you the most ...added nowish... Hey at least I had some fun with the edit.. Giving Smudge and Willow their very own subtitles ...So the episode wasn't a total snorefest

If you had a toy (string, light pen, or even just your hand peaking out from inside coach cushion) it would play with you but it didn't like being held or petted. From what I've read this is common with white cats. Her calico on the other hand would jump in your lap and meow until petted. As for show, Teal'c doesn't have to stay 3 weeks because of Junior. It corrects the imbalance in brain chemistry when he leaves. The rest were just walking him to the stargate to see him off at end of show.

2022-07-21 03:40:07 +0000 UTCMy brother has 6 cats at his house (his wife loves animals). I have been at their house a ton over the last 10 years and they have 1 cat I have never seen. I joke with them that they are making the cat up. The rest of their cats are extremely social and won't leave people alone.

2022-07-20 23:38:06 +0000 UTCI've had quite a few cats throughout my life...and I have to say that your cat seemed happy and comfortable in your arms...not completely, kind of like she's not really a fan of touch but that she is enjoying being held. But the fact that you can hold her upside down...that is tummy up and her back is downwards is a sign that your cat does trust you...believe me, I've had a cat that would NEVER let me hold him that way, when I held him he had to always be held with his back up and his feet down. LOL... listen to me trying to be a cat psychologist :) Some cats are very skittish around people and some are the exact opposite and can't get enough human contact, and of course there's a whole range in-between. If I had to guess, I'd say your cats are on the closer to skittish spectrum. But even a skittish cat can and will learn to love being held by some people. I had one cat about 15 years back (back when I had 6 cats at that time) that was EXTREMELY skittish around ALL humans. He stayed hidden at all times, and was even skittish around me. After a couple of years he got used to me being in the same room and I could coax him out of his hiding spot and he'd come and lie down against me and would let me pet him and rub his tummy... as long as no one else was around. But if I moved to quickly and/or suddenly he would jump and scurry away for 5-10 seconds until he saw there was nothing to be afraid of and he'd return. He was an extreme case of skittishness. I don't think either of your cats are extreme. Just keep the patience and try to get them to being used to being around you and they will eventually both come around to being much more affectionate...though they will never lose their skittishness. That's my opinion anyway!
