Stargate SG-1 S05E02 - Threshold FULL REACTION

Comments

Great episode, but it's kind of weird that it took this long for the audience to learn how and why Teal'c came to doubt Apophis and was willing to help SG-1 at the drop of a hat in the pilot. That came completely out of nowhere and was never really explained for 4 whole seasons.

1. Yeah... You asked the same question last time.. If anyone had a perfect show ...Naturally I'm the only person who answered 2. Yeah.. The Replicators weren't showing up on sensors cause they aren't really alive and since our last encounter they might also have adapted to be able to hide themselves from sensors in order to avoid detection until it's too late to do anything about them 3. Teal'c: "My lord.. The ship is infested with Replicators" Apophis: "How?" .....Bish.. You're a god are you not??? Aren't you supposed to know this shit?? And he asks this question in front of several Jaffa while on the ships intercom ...SMH... 4. You about Teal'c being brainwashed and thinking other Jaffa might be brainwashed too.. True.. While Teal'c is brainwashed.. There's other Jaffa there who MIGHT be brainwashed in the same way... Ultimately though the Jaffa believe the Goa'uld are gods ...It's kind of in their heads already to think that way ...The Tau'ri have been dropping bodies like crazy for the past 4-ish years and the Jaffa still believe in their so called gods ...It's gonna take a lot to convince them 5. The bell has rung.. Ding dong.. The god is dead ...You're right though.. He died too many times for his death to have any emotional impact.. But regardless.. His absence leaves a void to be filled as the Tok'ra stated.. A new big bad is sure to take his place.. Plenty of Goa'uld still out there.. Place your bet.. Who is next on the list of deaths? 6. SG-1 baaasically made it home by the end of 5x01 Froots... Well.. They made it back to the Milky Way Galaxy (our galaxy) and I suppose after that they could just use Jacobs ship to fly back to Earth which as you've noticed from the beginning of 5x02 they ofcourse did ...One other thing though.. We just lost our mothership ...We had that bish for like.. 2 episodes.. Big sad 7. The way Teal'c was speaking about Apophis being a false god while having this odd smirk on his face.. He just didn't come off as believable at all yeah.. Luckily SG-1 didn't fall for that weak ass shit and brought in Bra'tac to bitchslap Teal'c out of it 8. Rya'c got shot with a Duck Gun and this fixed his whole brainwashing problem.. I'm assuming that since Teal'c was just shot by Bra'tac with a Duck Gun and still hasn't given up his spot at being Apophis's number one fanboy that Duck Guns don't work on a Jaffa who used to be the First Prime 9. O'neill "He talked about fabric briefly" Daniel: "He just called me a woman" O'neill: "So I think it's working" ...These 2 dorks are hilarious when talking shit ..Need more of that 10. You're wondering if they lay someone halfway in the rings if they'd die.. Yeah don't get stuck halfway out of the transporter rings Froots.. Everything INSIDE the rings gets transported.. Everything outside stays behind ...It's been a long time ago but this was demonstrated in the movie where O'neil (the boring version with 1 L.) killed a Jaffa that way after hitting a button on the Jaffa's suit and trapping him with his head stuck inside the ring (or something like that... I dunno.. I don't care about the movie so I barely remember the details) 11. It would have been even more cool if after Teal'c life flashed before his eyes and he came back to his senses he'd have said "Tel Shak amel.. I die free" instead of just saying "I choose freedom" ...It would've linked back to what he said to Apophis in 1x08 The Nox as well which I think was the first time he just boldly defied his former god straight to his face 12. I'm glad you liked the Teal'c centric episode(s) ..I knew you wanted more of those.. Too bad it took so long to happen... Sad the next one won't be until Season 9 ........Just kidding ..Teal'c dies in this weeks episo.... JUST KIDDIIIING!!! Maybe ..smirk..

Just to clear a bit of confusion up: Apophis isn’t using the same form of mind control that he used on Ry’ac. That stuff was Nishta, countered by electrical shocks (Seth used it back in season 3). If that method was going to work, T would have come around at the beginning of the episode when he got hit by the zat.

You asked if the rings could chop someone in half. At the end of the movie, O'Neil (One L) fought Ra's main warrior. The fight ended with One L holding the guy under the rings, which removed his head and sent it up to Ra's ship.
