Superman & Lois S01E12 - Through The Valley Of Death FULL REACTION

I agree that you shouldn't prolonged a story, but I think this was the exception. I love when a hero goes dark due to being corrupted or mind controlled and they fight the ones they love. However, it feels wasted when its just one episode. When this was released, the show took at least three weeks off before it aired, so the built up of "Evil Superman" felt weak when it was only one episode. They could have at least made it two, so we could see Lois and his kids interact with a Zod corrupted Clark. That's another thing. Zod is one of Superman's most popular enemies, and it felt like a slap in the face that he was used as if he was just another Kryptonian consciousness that was was destroyed in the episode that he appeared. A storyline doesn't have to be 13-22 episodes long, but it can still be more then one episode to make sure it gives fans ample time to get into it.

I agree. Too many shows have adopted the season long story arc plan. When you have that, you get tons of filler episodes so that the story can be stretched to fill the season. This distracts from the story they are trying to tell. When your arc is only 4 or 5 episodes long, there is no time for filler. It's also closer to the comic book feel, where year long arcs are very rare. Most are finished in a 3 or 4 editions. I much prefer the feel to what they are doing on this show.

Season 4 of Agents of SHIELD did this so perfectly that it hasn't been topped in my opinion.

Honestly after rewatching this episode thanks to your reaction this could be a final. They just have to cut something out and have longer between the hero and villain Just forgot were supposed to have a crossover between batwoman. And Superman & Lois but COVID ruined everything. So instead David Ramsey came I'm sorry but David are you okay buddy I mean batwoman, legends, the flash now superman and lois are you trying be hero again. Just ask Barry to be on team flash Okay I love this lois lane in elesworlds she was annoying I was just waiting for her to be quiet but I can't hate her I this version Let's see what happens in the next few episodes

This episode demonstrates another reason I enjoy this show more than most of the Arrowverse shows as of late. They don't drag out story arcs over an entire season. They dealt with Morgan Edge and the possibility of Supes going dark. So, next week there will likely be another story line that may carry it to the end of the season? But I think other shows take a bit too long on one villain or arc. I like that this show is feeling like a bunch of mini series' put together in one season.

This is probably a good time to mention (and apologies if someone already has) that there was supposed to be a Batwoman crossover which I imagine would have happened by now, but COVID shutdowns made that impossible, so Diggle showing up is the closest we get to a crossover for this season.

Theres a few episodes this season that felt like it could have been a finale.

I just have to say that i really love this version of Lois Lane. When the actress was first cast as Lois i didnt really like her but she is so damn perfect as Lois. What do you think of her? Has she grown on you? I think shes the best live action version of Lois Lane we have had except for Erica Durance.
