You absolutely right. They should have added “Aschen bad.” But because they didn’t the SGC doesn’t know what the danger is with that address. For all they know, it could be another blackhole address or some other threat that can backtrack threw the outgoing wormhole. So they can’t gamble dialing the address to send a MALP to investigate. Jack held up 3 finger 2 fingers were the 2 L’s. The third was his middle finger meaning … The headline Daniel translated on the newspaper he found used a subtract-one cipher: by moving each letter back by one in the alphabet. (“t” becomes “s”, “f” becomes “e”) Using this cypher the headline. “Wbddjmf gsmn ofxdmnfst dbvtft tufsjmjuz” becomes in English "Vaccine from newcomers causes sterility".
