Eclipso refers to himself as Bruce in the little boy form. Someone named Bruce was already mentioned before in connection with Eclipso.

I don't know, if you noticed but the little girl that seemingly drowned was Dr McNiter's daughter, bit of a clue beforehand that the whole thing wasn't real.
This makes me wonder whether the little boy that he appears as is also one of Eclipso's past victims.
Also Eclipso being just very casually racist to dig into Beth's insecurities and get her fed up is something else. Here we have this entity of pure evil, able to utilize whatever means necessary to consume its victims and he chooses racism as a weapon. Like he obviously wouldn't be above that but it's still so out there. The first time I watched this episode I was so caught off guard by this that I couldn't help but chuckle throughout most of his interaction with Beth.

Yolanda and Rick are down, Eclipso is really doing well at taking the team down. I've said a few times that Yolanda's parents are the worst, I feel like I've neglected saying Rick's uncle is also the worst. I like Rick and Grundy's relationship, that moment with them on the tree stump was great, this was also a great episode for Beth, facing her fears, standing up to Eclipso, fully accepting herself as the new Doctor Mid-nite and having a decent conversation with her parents, although not the one they need to have yet.

For a minute there, I thought they were playing it off like Grundy was in Rick's head the whole time. Glad that they showed him after because I was like wait, if that's not Grundy, why has he been going into the woods throughout the season?

After thinking about why we didn't Courtney fear because I think it's the staff is light while eclipso is darkness incarnate light and dark are opposite maybe that's why
And wow eclipso is powerful attacking two members of the JSA now we only have 3 people Pat, Courtney and Beth left
Yolanda quit and Rick in jail so the team is pretty much broken at this point
It's was sweet at the end where grundy now know Rick is a true friend
Rick was angry at grundy but during the fight in season 1 he rezaile this isn't grundy fault he just scared and let him go after that he was in happier place which now I hate he in jail
I'm proud of Beth facing eclipso head on and not being scared and now she rezaile she can be the new doctor mid-nite and help the team in her own way

Glad you watched these two together as they really do continue the story of Eclipso attacking the team and trying to tear it apart.
And he's terrifyingly effective, taking 2 of the four remaining members out and almost getting a third, all without laying a finger on them.
I do love that Beth, the seemingly weakest and most timid of the team is the only one to successfully resist him. And she does so before realizing the goggles can counter him. As Dr. McNiter says, that was all her.
I should point out that the reason Courtney wasn't attacked with illusions in the school with the others is because her staff counters darkness-based powers like Eclipso's and Shade's, which we've already seen many times before. That's why her staff was able to free the teacher from his control, why blasting Rick freed him from the illusions, and also why Yolanda stopped seeing Brainwave once Country made her touch the glowing staff. The staff is light, Eclipso is dark. They naturally counter each other.
