2023-04-10 08:46:53 +0000 UTCWhen you look at the aliases that Root is using (Turing, von Neuman, Dyson, ...), these are all names of famous scientists. If you think about it, she's just one STEM educated detective away from being caught! OK OK, let's chalk it up to the show writers throwing in fun Easter eggs. :-) I'll say what impression *I* remember having about this show from its first season. It seemed to me like a lighthearted police procedural (or "vigilante procedural") with a more serious underlying commentary about how much of our lives are exposed to surveillance. That combination already head me on board.

2023-04-08 23:56:45 +0000 UTCI really enjoy the change of pace to this cold case sort of mystery episode from the normal superhero sci fi premise of the show. I enjoy both episodes to open the season but I think the slightly more distinct tone of this episode within the show leans me towards preferring this one. They both have pretty strong guest appearances as well. It's hard to go wrong starting a season out with Ken Leung and Margo Martindale as your main guest stars + introducing a dog.
