Danny had the mask on at the meeting because the gang know him as the guy in the mask, not as Danny Rand. The woman who asked for his help, however, knew more because Danny and her husband had dealings in the past. The other gang members just know him as the vigilante with the glowing fist. Otherwise, they might have tried to jump him at his home.

2023-09-04 07:30:06 +0000 UTCThe reason why the fight between Danny and Davos in the past was stopped was because the guy who made the call was Davos' father (we knew this, but it was easy to overlook because he made very few appearances and they mostly just talked about him). He knew that Davos wouldn't yield and he didn't want to see his son die. But because of his culture and upbringing, Davos still feels immense shame for losing what he considers his birthright despite not yielding.
