Normally I don't watch a reaction to something I haven't seen yet. this time I decided to do the opposite & watch this for the first time with you as I've always heard people praise this show. I wouldn't yet put it on a pedestal based off this episode but it has peaked my interest for more so I took a gamble & preordered a new complete series set coming out in October

This being one of your greatest fears, I'm very proud of you for staring it down. A 7 out of 10 rating by you, that's itself shows character by you. As for the show, I did enjoy the show. I watched it for about 9 seasons. Then things got busy and I never got back around to it. I like how in this episode they put so much effort into the emotions of the people we encounter. Rick on his knees in his old house hitting himself saying "Wake up". The man crying because he can't shoot the zombified body that was his wife. They also set up some interesting dynamics with Rick's partner, Shane, appearing to now be with Rick's wife Lori. If Rick finds out will he "Punish" him. ... sorry... Definitely left on a cliff hanger, Rick trapped in that tank. Who is that voice over the radio that called Rick a dumbass?

2023-08-30 19:39:54 +0000 UTCI've never seen this show, but since it's THE zombie show you've been avoiding, I figured I'd watch it and suffer too. Zombies in particular no biggie for me, just the gore part of it I hate. So the horse in this was by far the worst part for me. The story is pretty interesting, but I'm with you I wish they talked more about how long it had been since it all started. From how this episode ended (guy on the radio in the tank), I figure they probably do a lot of mini-cliffhanger endings like that to keep people hooked. Mostly because now I want to know who was on the radio. I hope we see 1x2 some day!

2023-08-30 18:47:51 +0000 UTCWow, two zombie based shows in the same week. Who are you, and what have you done with the real Shan? This is a show I really can recall going from "hmm interesting" to "wow, this is good", to "holy crap, I need next weeks episode" to "I gotta catch up this soon, I'm getting behind", to just..... dropping it. Not that it was so bad I didnt want to see it, but that I just found other things more "must see", and I got so far behind I never tried catching up..... but I made it more than half way through season 8 before falling off..... might have even got to season 9.... I dont remember. For the entirety of the run, I'd say its "very good". Pretty impressed you gave it a 7, with your anti-zombie biasness. I suspect I'll be seeing more episodes of this sometime in the near future here.

2023-08-30 18:15:45 +0000 UTCThat was not as entertaining as I had dreamt it would be . More like watching a puppy being tortured than say watching a girl being tickled. Very proud of you for watching it though . By the way that shirt , probably just me because I'm very sensitive to light , but when you adjust yourself in your chair bringing it into frame the horizontal lines explode like the visual equivalent of microphone feedback. I'd consider the kindness if you take it out of rotation. Luckily you were too busy being traumatized to realize your ass was sore and did not adjust yourself as often as usual. As proud as I am I think I'd get a lot more fun out of watching you squirm do something with lots of nudity and intimacy.

2023-08-30 17:52:03 +0000 UTCTWD is personally in my top 5 most over-rated TV shows, the pacing of the show has always been my biggest gripe. Just way too slow for my liking. P.S I did watch your reaction, you did remarkably well, way better than I was anticipating. Going by the state of decomp of the bodies and how far he has healed, his healing wouldn't have progressed as far as you would like because the bandages hadn't been changed for quite a long time, so I would say minimum 1 month from the start of the outbreak. Can't remember if it is mentioned in the first season or 2.
